After a tough penance Ravana asked for immortality which Brahma denied then Ravana asked that he shall not be killed by Devas, Rakshashas, Nagas, etc but out of arrogance did not include humans as he thought no one in human form can ever defeat him.

Maine bhi Ramayan dekha tha on DD National. Also Ramayan: The Legend of Prince Rama (1992) on Cartoon Network and Hanuman (2004) woh bhi CD par jo mere paas abhi bhi hai. They were way better than Adipurush.
