I found one striking similarity in this song with the popular old song Ellam inba mayam (music C R Subbaraman the great) - in swara prayogam the famous phrase NSNNSSA... NSGNNSSA (Manorama) and DNDDNN DNSDDNN (K R Vikaya) - surprisingly same prayogam though not same ragas.

In this movie they show that there is a dhyaanapeetam in kollur temple. In fact, Jai Shankar’s character has a change of heart when he sits on that peetam and becomes a yogi. Not sure of the history but this is what the movie showed.

Cinema பாடல்கள், அயல்நாட்டு பாடல்கள் எதுவாக இருந்தாலும், சங்கீதம் மனதை தொட வேண்டும் என்றால் அது உணர்வு பூர்வமானதாக இருக்க வேண்டும். அதை தருபவர்கள் கடவுளின் அனுக்ரஹம் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும். அந்த கடவுளுக்கு என்ன பெயர் என்பது அவரவரின் நம்பிக்கை சார்ந்தது. தன்னில் இருந்து வரும் சங்கீதம் என்று இறுமாப்பு கொள்ளாமல் இருக்க வேண்டும்.

Is carnatic music deviod of God. Definitely not. Thiyaga raja, Shyama sastri Purandara Dasa and all founders and devolopers composed songs over God and were great devotees of God. Ragas of carnatic music and Hindustani music were the root cause of cinema music and poets wrote love, sarrow, philasophical songs and even questioning God. But none of the singers and music directors are non believer of God. But EVR is against God. A carnatic singer praising him may be his stance, But such persons are not at all to be rewarded.
