I agree, but at the same time his XG doesnt lie, he was fairly consistent with his finishing, meaning if you give him a chance he is clinical. Is he Haaland level? No, not close but he is more clinical than Jackson.

What is certain is that Jackson will miss chances (i still think he will improve, i like him "most" of the time), and i'd bank on Oshimen being more clinical than him. I dont think his wage demands were that crazy, £200/250k a week whilst high isnt insane and they could have structured it so that we matched his salary at Napoli (so base wage of £150k, plus incentives). Either way we needed a striker, we needed one for two years now and they've still not resolved the issue which is immensely disappointing because i feel we have an excellent nucleus now.

I think the salary offered to him was derisory (not convinced we actually offered that though) , which means we were never seriously considering him. Now i am not opposed to incentive based contracts, but his base should have been twice that and the overall package should have matched his Napoli contract (or at least be close). At times i find the club some what perplexing, we pay Sterling more than Mo Salah and then offer one of the most marketable CF around roughly half of what we pay Nkunku (if you believe what is being publicised, i dont) and less than what we pay Felix and Sancho? Napoli have made a rod for their own back now, they upped his wages and signed him onto a contract to improve his value, which is fine when there is a market for the asset. But nobody is interested in him, at least not in the age of PSR. Unfortunately his latest performances dont warrant his salary, so its likely Saudi or a pay cut for the lad. Kinda sad TBH, especially given his age...

He is nowhere near Haaland. Haaland Haa scored 36 and 27 goals in his last 2 seasons plus another 2 20+ seasons for Dortmund. Osimhen has only ever scored 20 once. He isn't some guarantee to score 20 like a Haaland, Kane or Mbappe are. You also say if we get Osimhen, we compete with City for the league. City have a much a better gk, defence and midfield.
