Legocon04 I just assumed that the numbers could be divided by 10 and rounded up to be similar to OW. 1800 HP equates to being 3 shot by most of the cast.

Three reasons why Paladins isn't a cheap version of Overwatch (not saying I hate OW, I love both games): 1. It was made BEFORE Overwatch was (and in fact, was based off the game 'Global Agenda' 2. Loadouts and Pre-Game Cards 3. Different Concepts (Overwatch is based on futuristic models, Paladins is more fantasy based.) Like if you AGREE! :D

Kai Flood Slayed is for when you have the last shot on the guy and literrally kill someone, instead when you helo the team kill someone (pratically an assist) you have the "Elimination" Happy to have helped you :)

I don't think either copied the other in one way, I think both copied eachother in their own respective ways. And, I see that as fine, because both are different in ways that make players prefer one over the other. Its like Smash 4 and Smash Melee, except by 2 different devs and one isn't over 10 years older.

BobaAsdf I aggree with you, I own both games and you cant deny that both games copyed each other a little bit. But they made completly different heroes/champions with different playstyles out of the "copyed" abilitys. For example Mei and Evie have both a ice block to block damage, but mei is a slow inmobile Charakter and is more tank like, while evie is a hypermobile flanker... ther are only a few possiple thinghs you can do with abilitys, (they can do dammage, block damage, heal, ore make the other things stronger/weaker) so its no wonder that every game in this green hase similar abilitys. I hope you understand what I mean, my english is too bad to describe it properly D:

overwatch is better in the sense that the abilites are alot more... tame? i guess is the word im looking for? paladins distracts you with all the flashing and the insane abilities with rewarding attacks and kills but as you could see. Most games result in one team getting absolutely stomped. Its a heck of alot of fun, yes. but thats because its REALLY easy to be good at. My 8 year old brother was upset he couldnt play overwatch because it was too hard for him to do things, but he's a fucking master at paladins just because its so much easier.

what nah I find over watch to be so much more hectic. And ults especially are much more powerful in overwatch, something that some people like but I personally don't. And I agree that paladins is easier to get good at but I think it's harder to really master. I'd say overwatch has a higher skill floor than paladins but a lower skill ceiling. Coming from diamond ranked overwatch player and a competitive paladins player.

Rip though. She got nerfed pretty badly. She can no longer self heal unless you equip a certain legendary card, her pounce(dash) now travels a shorter distance and her movement speed while in Prowl(move fast) has been reduced from 85% speed increase to 60%.

Pretty sure the easiest character right now is ying, especially with the legendary that doubles your healing output, and you don't evne ahve to aim it XD. But yeah, I'm fine wiht the healing nerf with maeve, and evne on the 15% movement reduction on prowl. damage reduction is fine too, it'll just make tanks counter her more (they already do, especialy at high level), but the range reduction on her pounce is kind of overkill. Mobility is what makes her so much fun. I'd rather see some damage and sustain go just to keep the mobility, but then again, her damage shouldn't be so low to the point she becomes a sombra.

Alissah Kat Yings getting a healing nerf with that card. Also does it actually bump your healing? I mean like when its healing two people at once. Because I thought thats all did, it just heals two people at once unless theres only one in which case both beams heal the same ally. Hence the higher healing they get.

Maeve was pretty weak imo, past certain skill level teams would simply wipe her out instantly and she'd barely get to pick someone alone. On the other side, guys like Viktor, Kinessa and Drogoz..

Everyone's ult used to have a cool down rather than a percentage rate that you had to build up. You could see the range on her bomb and it was quite small, and her gun was really unsatisfying to use lol. I do miss the big maps though.

Pro's and Con's of Paladins (In my personal opinion.) Pro's: Unique character design. Smooth gameplay, looks pretty easy to use. Fun way to kill time if Overwatch is frustrating or you don't have Overwatch. Con's: Some aspects of it are too similar to Overwatch, could use some re-tweaking. Difficult to understand some mechanics at times. Though overall I think this could turn out great if the developers listen to the community a bit more, and make some changes. At the moment, I could see myself killing some time on this.

The developers do listen to the community, Hi-rez is pretty much as close to the community as a game company can get. "Make some changes" - Hi-rez changes the game a lot, not just frequently, A LOT, maybe too much in my opinion, everytime i come back to paladins something has changed. I would pick paladins over 60$ overwatch any day, it's great fun and free.

Agreed with that, they do listen to their community and feedback quite a lot, which surprices me. They've even reduced the grind to unlock these "legendary cards" even if that hurts their incomes due to people needing to spend less money if not at all... that, to me, is appreciated.

Smockie perhaps but they shouldn't have nerfed her that hard. She was already very weak in the competitive scene and "overpowered" in casual and these nerfs make her extremely underpowered in both. Well you can actually see from the game play he is rank 5 with Maeve. She came out long after his previous Paladins videos, which means that was either a really long play session where he played a lot of Maeve, he has one of his friends/family play on his account, or he plays occasionally off camera. I agree he probably wouldn't make videos of the game much without being sponsored, but that doesn't mean he doesn't play. I know when I need a break from Paladins or Overwatch I tend to play the other (or something like Paragon/Smite) so that would make some sense. These videos not only get less views but they tend to attract anger from both communities and stir up shit, so he may not enjoy having his comment section of a video look like a war zone XD.

Just so people know, Paladins in 2013 was not called Paladins but Arrow. They already had Skye, Cassie and Fernando as a staple to the game’s icon. Fernando had his shield skill already so that disregards him being a copy. As well as the fact that most skills/designs from Global Agenda (from Hi-Rez) had somehow managed to slip by and get placed onto Overwatch. Example? Mercy’s flight , Heal rod beam. Genjis mask design, skills. Torbjorns Turret skill, shield skill. Etc. Although “Overwatch” players assume that Titan was a base to this game, eh wrong. Titan was more placed in as an MMO not an Fps at all. There is nothing that can be compared to Titan as to Overwatch. As for Global Agenda, well its already been explained. Disregarding some other “copies” Evie - Was released before Mei. Inara - Her wall was already a skill which was based off of Ymir in (Hi-Rez game) Smite. Skye - Sombra was released after almost 10-12 of skye’s existence. Torvald - The shielding skill is a staple to some LoL, Dota and Smite characters. Etc. I’ve played both games, out of my gaming history Blizzard has the worse community judging other games. “Research before you spread false-facts to the other games community.”

Unfortunately, they're nerfing her quite a bit. Nine Lives will no longer heal by default (Artful Dodge legendary now makes it heal for 500) Prowl is a 65% movespeed (Reduced from 80%) Pounce does 500 damage (from 600) and shifts Maeve 50 units (from 70) You can really feel the Pounce distance nerf.

Funny thing is... She wasn't overpowered. She was simply new, and none of the lower ELO knew how to counter her, nor were they willing to learn. They could've done incremental changes, doing little things each update to keep her in line, but killing her dash length, Prowl speed, Nine lives heal, and damage all at once is too far. Nine Lives was what made Maeve a good pick. Pounce was a useful as an attack, finisher, and escape. Prowl probably did need a nerf, since 80% movespeed is quite a lot, but Pounce didn't need the distance nerf. It was fine as it was.

They've added two new characters to the game: Inara and in the next patch, Lex. Inara is a tank, while Lex is a flank. Inara is hard to kill, but at the same time, she deals low damage to other players. Lex is more preferable, as of he deals more damage than Androxus, and his Ult can nearly 1 shot hit other players.

Overwatch is great and all, but Paladins updates the game constantly which means you have something more than a couple bug fixes every month. Paladins gets about 2 major updates per month, which means soon it'll have way more content than OW. Hell, its already passed it up in champions/heroes and skins. Before long it'll have more maps and more gamemodes.

I played both Overwatch and Paladins, both for about 200h (same goes for GA so stfu, I'm so mad that GA is dead, it was fucking awesome) and I can say that Paladins is taking *A FUCKING LOT* from OW, Hi-Rez can deny it as much as they want but I remember how Paladins was in beta, especially in closed beta, that was a *COMPLETELY* different game and they started making Paladins similar to Overwatch after it turned out to be a major success. *HOWEVER* both games indeed feel and play completely different, both are fun and entertaining as heck. Should you play Paladins if you have Overwatch already? Absolutely, give it a shot! I was having a blast while playing with friends, this game rocks! The biggest advantage Overwatch has is the lack of cheaters compared to Paladins. *FUCKING SERIOUSLY* this is the *ONLY* reason I stopped playing Paladins, Hi-Rez is fucking dumb, all they did was just banning the cheater's account after he got reported multiple times, they didn't even take down his main account, absolutely nothing more, there was no punishment for cheating whatsoever, they even were banning and warning people on forum for calling out hackers even if you had undeniable proof. How many cheaters we're talking about? Depends how good you were... the better skill, the more cheaters. I was meeting and reporting like 3-5 cheaters a day, sometimes I had pre-made cheater groups in a match. And I'm not talking about people that were "suspicious" because they were great shooters, no, no, I'm talking about people that were tracking others through walls, 100% accuracy, hitting headshots only with perfect tracking on the head, doing impossible spins from one to another killing everybody in the process, killing from spawns while shooting a wall only etc... Conclusion? 1. Overwatch is fun, Paladins is fun, play both, you will experience some similarities, a lot of them in fact, but also completely new and different gameplay. 2. Blizzard > Hi-Rez. 3. Bush did PewDiePie.

Let me complete your comment. Paladins was different in the way that it did not have play of the game and the gamemode was different. Mote characteres were simmilar to overwatch characteres. Ghrok not only had a healing station but he could swap to chanelled lightnig and leap. U could use one of the in game cards to upgrade skie's time bomb. Its radius was reduced by 50% but it could stick to enemies.
