Siraj-ud-doulla was only between 22 to 24 year old. He was already married to Lutfunnessa who was 18 year old. They had a baby Saira Begum. When he fled Calcutta, he refuse to leave behind his wife and baby. Story of his reckless life style appears exaggerated. .He displayed extra ordinary sagacity as Nabob. He lost war because of treachery.
