Many beautiful places around the world are rarely visited by tourists not because they're underrated but because of poor accessibility. Palawan is such place that is way more beautiful than most of the islands in the Philippines in terms of unspoilt white sandy beaches but its accessibility is very poor. Getting to Palawan alone is largely thru Cebu and Manila. Another major setback or downside in visiting Palawan is the poor public transport to get around which means you have to hire private transport to explore the islands which can be very costly for most tourists, locals or foreigners. One more setback is that Palawan's attractions are mostly natural so tourists have no other choices in terms of diversity of attractions.
