Just flew Emirates and being able to hang out in the bar area is by far my best experience flying. This does look good, but...cant beat that lounge area in the air.

Joe, thank you for your experience on a trip my wife and I will nearly parallel from Auckland to Singapore to LGW first week of December 2024. Both flights on the 350-900 aircraft. Your presentation is one of the best I’ve viewed. Your style is not arrogant, is warm and friendly and down to earth with the facts. We always fly to Sydney and/Auckland with SIA business. Flying from LHR to SIA was in the 380 and then the seemingly aged 700 but business class. The latter jet was ready for retirement but was OK for an overnight flight to Sydney. Next year we are flying to Manila from Heathrow in business class, it looks great but I’m not keen on the bed because I’m 6ft tall. It will be our first trip in business.

I've flown SIA quite a few times now in Business class. Japan to NZ and Japan to Australia. In my experience the world's best airline, and Changi hub is a great airport with fantastic Silver Kris lounges. If you are able to book way in advance , like 3 months, and flexible with dates there are some great deals to be had. SIA offers very competitive rates for frequent flyer members. 😉

With two weeks I’d suggest going to Balabac and then you can do a day boat trip to lagoons/islands from El Nido / Coron or something

I don't think much of the seat at all. There's little foot room and the seat in front is close. Service is good usually and the food great. For me its the seat that matters and it a fail on singapore.

Hi, nice video, question for you: Did you experience much turbulence or bumpy times? I've just done a return trip to brisbane in economy and pretty much entire journey was bumpy all the way.......some very, very bumpy patches to.

Just flew on the B777 and the A380. Both were awkward. On the B777 you had to get up and flip the seat over to get the lie-flat. Once it was down it wasn't too bad. I HATED the A380 arrangement. Feet off to the side in a cubby and an awkward footrest. Had a terrible sleep. The food and service was good on both, but MUCH more personal and attentive on the B777.

Really helpful as I’m pricing this journey for 2025. Still in denial about the costs, it’s around £6,5k in July 2025 unless you want to go at odd hours and like you say Qantas direct is even more expensive. Not sure I can get to acceptance at those prices so economy/premium remains the most likely sadly even though it’s looks really comfy.

Fellow Perthite who begrudges the cost of flights. I usually fly Qatar business out of Perth to Europe and was happy to swallow $6k pre-covid but now it's around $9k. Now, I used Finnair and book my flights out of Bali to Europe, through codeshare you fly Qatar (Qsuites) for a fraction of the cost. My last trip to Europe , business was AUD$3900. You just need to get to Bali, if you have Qantas points it doesn't cost much on Jetstar and you can bookend your trip with a couple of days in Bali!

July is rainy season so it’ll be a bit hit and miss. Will generally chuck it down for an hour and then be sunny the rest of the day so not too bad. Driving a scooter without a licence will be fine, didn’t see a police officer on the island tbh

@@joe_markwick definitely westerners do not believe that but sometimes it is true, my cousin was a victim of vudu witchcraft and they brought him to a quack doctor fortunately he was cured, they never saw any abnormalities in his laboratories, the doctor cannot find any diagnosis to diagnose my cousin but some of our neighborhood brought my cousin to a quack doctor and he was played by a witchcraft according to that quack doctor for now, he is doing good but he is scared of going outside or for a place which are unfamiliar to him…he had trauma…. And anxiety as well so he is always careful whenever he goes outside…
