Yeah, it doesn't quite fit the whole 'Planet Earth' format. Either you make it as a dramatic story, like WWD did, or you have talking heads next to fossils. If Prehistoric Planet did however decide to showcase this, then a sort of 'special' episode would be more fitting in my opinion. It will be interesting to see what type of format the upcoming series 'Surviving Earth' will have, as it will focus on these sort of events.

From very small to crazy big; dinosaurs were awesome, Earth was SO MUCH BETTER (and I think it is STILL BETTER !) compare to Pandora in the movie Avatar. On Earth, both geography and life created fantastic objets and living creatures, the evolution of our planet is constant and thanks to that, we are able to be amazed by billions of billions wonderful and totally different animals, each has/had their own totally unique and colorful enviroment, from 3-400 million years ago to nowadays, this is freakin HUGE diversity, if you think about it, and this is so Fascinating!!! An entire human life wouldnt be enough if you want to know like 50% about what happened and happening today on our planet...its like a vehicle show (every type of vehicle planes, ships, cars, wagons, bikes etc. , even the crazy ones! from the past and from the present), just better, because evolution and advanced life forms are a MIRACLE, and bec of this, they have to be respected; some says that in the "Big Gate theory" (fermi paradox), from a molecule to dinos and to mammals, its crazy hard to evolve and when it happened somewhere, that means that place is so damn lucky and Blessed..So my original message was: Humans, Respect our beautiful planet, see its beauty through history, and maybe its not too late to save it...this planet is so exciting and wonderful, it has to be protected and remembered, for the sake of the universe and life within it; there is too much emptyness and darkness in space, but Earth (among with few possible other planets) is Radiating with life for millions of years, and it has to be something great, right? :) humans, please dont destroy this miracle here...see the beauty around us

Final episode was North America. So if there is a 3rd season in the works, maybe we'll get South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Antarctica? Loved that format of the season 2 finale. And I'd personally love if a series of this style and quality were to explore the paleozoic and cenozoic eras (before and after the dinos). But I understand if it seems less commercially viable.
