Paleofetch: Imagine A Suckless Style Neofetch

The dev archived the repo before I tested before I could upload this, still uploading it because it's cool though. A fork is used to build the AUR package though
There are tons of fetch applications out there, the most notable being neofetch but it's quite slow, so today we're looking at Paleofetch a fetch application written in C, that you're intended to modify in the Suckless sort of manor.

I technically linked to the wrong version in the description, it still hasn't been worked on in a while but a fork is the version that is being compiled from the AUR so it's only fair to mention that one. I did however test the version that has now been archived.

uwufetch is superior to both. It is also written in C. And appears to be pretty fast. At least faster than neofetch.

People only use these to take screenshots and show off that they do indeed use Arch. That is unnecessary, just use uname, that's what the really cool people do, it's how you show off that you're better than everyone else. Though people that are that cool probably use Gentoo or BSD or something like that. Time to find out whether or not I'm still being completely censored by KZbin.

What I don't like about Suckless-style programs is that they hide a lot of laziness behind the elitist/minimalist mindset. Like not having any sort of documentation and more importantly the bugs/oversights in the code like the small logo problem.

I think the documentation and wiki is fine. However, I'd like more code comments. Most people who use this software will have only a minimal knowledge of C and need to understand the code without digging.

Would have been faster in Rust. :P Jokes aside, looks pretty neat. I never really minded neofetch being "slow", I just was annoyed that you can see it printing out line by line on the terminal, which this didn't seem to suffer from. I'd probably give it a try just because of that tbh.

try fastfetch-git on aur, the github repo is being maintained, but i dont think it works for all distros, arch and manjaro does, because i use it

These resources are only used for a short time whilst you open a new terminal. And if a terminal opens in 0.1 or 1 second I don't mind. Therefore IMO can be neglected unless you use Neofetch every few seconds in some loop.
