I think that people who give a thumbs down, would need to explain. I see someone thinks Sinkovsky is pretentious... well I don't know him so I cannot judge there. But he certainly is a magnificent violinist. I have a gazillion Vivaldi Four Seasons but I bought his, even though I have 2 already... I think he's sublime

I was at Axel Vervoordt's castle in s'Gravenwezel, near Antwerpen, on November 8, 2011, where Dmitry and 6 other wonderful musicians played a Handel program for us. We dined with all the musicians and had a wonderful day with them. I wrote Dmitry an email expressing my appreciation and gratitude for being able to share his company and to be able to listen to their wonderful program. Perhaps someday I will be able to be his host here in the USA when he brings his extraordinary talents to us.

I Ezekiel was twice on this marvelous venue; the first one was an exquisite evening where I presented my protégée , a Turkish tenor, Mr. Levent Guenduez, who was one of the finalists later at the 10th anniversary of Domingo’s wonderful Operalia at 2003. The second time Axel arranged his orangerie with beautiful Aubussons and Potsdam chandeliers and….. theater seats, all originating from the most famous Parisian Offenbach theaters. This time I had the opportunity to present the most talented Turkish pianist Mr. Emre Elivar with a Schubert and Schumann program . After the concert the most unforgettable among my memories was the meal prepared by dear May Vervoordt with mushrooms from the parks of s’Gravenwesel as a starter, a wonderful pot-au-feu on open fire of the gigantic cheminée and the tastiest mousse au chocolat I have ever eaten.

Sınkovsky is a great musician of course. His “Cum Dederit” by Vivaldi is the door to heaven.

Yes, indeed. I am a schoolmate (US-to-Belgium American Field Service, 65-66) of Axel's from back in the day. I have many times been his guest in s'Gravenwezel and at Kanaal when I returned to Antwerpen for our school reunions. There is, in fact, another scheduled for November 5, 2021, but the US feds have not renewed my passport so, sadly I will miss this one. If/When they finally do renew it then I will take a flight to Belgium to visit my schoolmates once again.

Yes, this is a very inspiring performance by two great musicians. But it's unfortunate that the harpsichordist's name isn't mentioned, and her face is obscured by the music stand throughout this video. Please, would the poster at least supply the name of this excellent musician?

Let's all ignore the ignorant Hari Pradesh and hope that he remains "elsewhere"!

Wow. That's lots of talent at the service of lots of ego and a questionable taste. I'll search for authenticity elsewhere...
