Hi, I love the way you taught us how to use pallet knife for beginners. I would like to learn how to use pallet knife for a thicker aspect of texture ( like tracks of trucks on a snow), please. Love the tutorial!! I used palette knives years ago And I'm renewing my interest for abstract art. I'm a analog collage artist, would like to expand my mediums. Is heavy body paint necessary? And also does canvas have to be primed? Thank u

I’m happy your enjoying your knives again. Heavy body paint is very helpful, particularly for the impasto style techniques - it allows for thick, raised textures and can be controlled more easily. You can add modelling paste or heavy gel to softer bodies paints to thick them up 🙂🎨
