Candice's answer about Caroline's opinion of Klaus is pretty much why I can't stand most of TVD's characters. They're all hypocrites. If Klaus is a mass murderer then so are Damon, Stefan, Elena & Jeremy (for killing Kol & subsequently, his bloodline). Every character has killed their share of innocent people but we're supposed to root for them over the so called villains.

Caroline killed, what, 13 people in one go? Stefan as a ripper has probably murdered enough to rival Klaus. Being a ripper isn't some excuse that makes it OK otherwise you could argue everything Klaus has done is OK because he's a bloodthirsty Original hybrid. Jeremy & Elena knowingly murdered thousands of innocent vampires when they killed Kol- because that suited them. They could have daggered him but nah. I could go on.
