blackdogbrown My only issue is that many interviews with Julie and CD have about Steroline say that they need to work on their relationship some more, which I honestly think is B.S. considering that they've been doing that since season 2. I just don't think the writers want Stefan with anyone else because giving him a new love interest means giving him his own storyline which means he won't be at Delena's beck and call anymore and the writers really love him serving that relationship. But it's honestly just TIME for Steroline or at least time for the romantic feelings to be recognized as romantic feelings.

It is all part of this year's pre-season PR. This same 'distance' will be kept on every panel; Kat and Ian will be seated next to each other. These public appearances are choreographed by the show producers and convention staff. There is a similar setup with The Originals this year. There is no hidden meaning or drama, it is all part of the 'show.' If you are involved with conventions and get offered the job of 'guest coordinator' you'll learn that public relations people plan all of this in advance for maximum effect.

Panels with only one producer will usually have them in the center; more than one and they will be split by one or more actors. And there is the whole alternating boy/girl thing (when it is odd, the center pair will have a male on the right.) More considerations: Panels almost never have women at the ends of a table (the reverse is true for couch/chair panels) and newcomers (to the show and the panel) are almost always seated at the ends. And (shudder) often they take into consideration height, what colors they are wearing AND whether or not the MC is male or female. Worse still is when all of this is figured out and some random TBTB changes it at the last minute... Sorry for the semi-rant-I still have the mental scars ;)

Dess Gerrard Lol.. I can't help but to reply. Stefan were a douche to Elena and hurt her feelings, which Damon hasn't done in the same way. To not mention Stefan let her drown because his love wasn't STRONG enough for him to be selfish once in a lifetime for her LIVING BEING when it's on the line. Unlike Stefan, Damon couldn't imagine his life without Elena and he has and would always put him self first before her. THAT'S how STRONG DELENA's love are. Stelena fans, your logic is just gah. Sigh . . . Ok. Childish rant; I just had to point out!

Um... but Damon isn't perfect either. He did kill Jeremy (in season 2), tried to kill him again, threaten to kill Matt, killed Aaron, threaten to kill other important people in Elena's life, goes on a killing spree after they break up.... We SE fans know that Stelena wasn't perfect, but I would never want to be in a relationship with someone who threatens my family/friends' lives like Damon did. Yes, it can be argued that Stefan went through his whole ripper phase and all but I would pick Stefan any day over Damon So I don't understand Delena fans' logic so I guess we are even. The way I see it, both relationships are fucked in one way or another.

BloodOrangesFTW And Damon killed her friend and kidnapped her brother and almost had him killed by his friend Enzo and left him on the floor hurt while Elena in the room. Not to mention in the beginning Damon tried to compel Elena to kiss him. Also That's not strong at all. That's called Selfish love. Damon does not have the will to let Elena do decisions like that. Also Damon was such a lustful douche in season 5. Always talking about sex EVEN AFTER they broke up. Also I'm not even a Stelena fan. After the shit Stefan put up with in season 5. Stefan deserves better. Stefan has been supporting Delena WAY more than Damon ever did when Stefan and Elena were together. It's also quite sad how Stefan got his brain friend AGAIN for Damon and Elena's cure and then after Damon and Elena get cured They both argue how toxic their relationship is....while Stefan is being held captive lol. I'm sorry but Season 5 just showed how horrible Delena is.

Paul said Stefan has moved on and now Steroline is about to happen. So yeah, there's obviously no hope for Stelena. As bad as it hurt, I admit that I'm glad they will never get back together because they're too fucked up. And it's seems like Elena doesn't even deserve Stefan anymore. But they will always be my No.1 couple. They're too beautiful to forget. And I believe that no matter what happens, Stefan will never stop loving Elena.

Considering the shit Stefan's done to Elena in the past seasons they're pretty even. But yeah, I don't think it'd look good for either character to go back to each other now. Stefan taking back someone who left him for his brother after saying it'd always be him and Elena randomly changing her mind after claiming she no longer loves him (under compulsion to tell the truth none-the-less). The only OK scenario I can see them getting back together is if Damon permanently dies.

I honestly hate the idea of romantic Steroline. I will stop watching when that happens, unfortunately. I hate that it's playing into the stereotype that men and women can't be friends without it turning into something more. Their relationship as friends is so beautiful and perfect, there's no need to change it at all. Putting them in a relationship is just going to complicate things, and Caroline is a wonderful character, Candice is talented and I feel like next Season the main part of her storyline will be trying to get with Stefan or just being a love interest and she can offer so much more than that. Besides, it's obvious that they're just trying to get Klaroline fans to move on. I don't ship Klaus and Caroline with anyone except each other and I never will, but aside from that, I don't even want Klaroline together right now. They have a lot going on in their lives that they need to deal with before that happens and I REALLY want to see Caroline single, and actually having her own independent storyline. I miss Season 2 Caroline. Now she just is sidelined and plays as a filler.

Why can't Stefan and Caroline be single and happy? I feel like if they get romantic, then things will change..Caroline was already getting jealous of him and Elena whenever nothing happened. I do NOT want all of her character development to go out the window and for her to return to feeling second best or insecure. Stefan should find another girl that has no connections with his ex, or just be single in my opinion.

And once again, Ian never stops talking. I know most people find it funny, bacause, what a surprise, they love Ian, and the cast handles it with humor as well, but it's so freaking annoying. He wants to be the center of attention, even now that he knows how popular he already is. I mean, for God's sake, he should let others speak too... If he never spoke or just sat there doing nothing, the panel would be boring. Just like ilovepinkk95 said, Nina sounds like she's so over the panel and Paul just adds side comments and stops talking. The only people who were talking are Julie, Ian and Matt. I'd rather have a live panel then just a panel with them answering "yes" or "no" which is exactly what Nina and Paul are doing. They just answer simple questions and laugh it off. Don't get why Ian talking annoys you. If he weren't talking too much fans would just get on social media and complain.

I think he just gets nervous sometimes. He's human. He's also genuine and goes out of his way to connect with, educate and help all his fans and the planet. The guy works himself to death just giving to others. He has a much more of a fan base then all the others for good reason. I recently downloaded and watched all 5 seasons. I realized that ALL and EVERY problem of all chars in the show (I mean the plot) is because of Bonnie. She does something not to the end, or she does something more than she should've. It's not so clear when you watch it once in a week but it kicks the eye if you watch two seasons a day

Here's some hints: 1. Tape from the very beginning. From when the first actor is being introduced on stage. 2. Focus the flippin camera on the screen and let the Comic-Con camera person do your work for you.

Just you. What is awkward? They're fine. In this or the other part Nina is posing for a picture Ian's taking of her and in one of the other comic con interviews Nina is doing something with her shoulders and looking at Ian and Ian tries to impersonate it. If you're talking about the distance between them, the actors don't get to choose their own seats. And the line-up has to do with the coming season where Damon and Elena will be far apart, hence the distance. While Bonnie and Damon will be stuck together so they're seated together and Elena will bond with Alaric so Nina and Matt beside each other.

The Vampire Diaries season 5 finale left a lot of fans shocked and outraged. But this fan’s problems with the series started long before that. I want to start by stating that this comment is in no way a slam of The Vampire Diaries, which I have enjoyed for many years, and even podcasted about. It is in no way a critique of the actors or writers - I have nothing but respect for Julie Plec and her team, and I think they have crafted fantastic, intricate characters and relationships. There just came a point, about halfway through season 5, where I’d simply had enough. When I first started watching The Vampire Diaries, I really appreciated how quickly the show evolved, and how much the characters developed. The evolution of Caroline and Damon, and even Elena, were dynamic and consistent. I still remember how surprised and excited I was when Caroline and Tyler got together, because it was a coupling which grew from actor chemistry, not story convenience. But after a couple of seasons, a trivial pattern emerged: the character development was circular (Damon and Stefan were alternately the hero and the villain, Klaus’ mood changed depending on what the story required, and Elena kept being torn and tragic), the relationships were completely interchangeable and transitory, and the plotlines became more and more outlandish (I thought the doppelgänger mythology was interesting enough when it was just Elena and Katherine). And after a while, there came a point when I simply stopped caring. Too many characters had died, and it became hard for me to get attached to anyone. Too many relationships had started and ended for me to be invested in them. The Silas plotline didn’t capture my attention at all. Klaus was supposed to be the original; they couldn’t just bring in the original original and expect me to buy it this time. For all I knew, next season would introduce the original original original, who lived back in the Stone Age. And why should I care? Silas wasn’t even that scary, and the fact that Stefan turned out to be a doppelgänger as well seemed incredibly forced. Essentially, I’d like to see something different from the show, not just more of the same. And then, of course, there are the character deaths. This is my biggest beef with modern television. I’m sick of caring about characters that get killed off. I’m sick of new characters being introduced and inserted into the story for the sole purpose of dying - and then, once the shock has worn off, there’s no sign that they were ever there. Can you name all the characters that have died on The Vampire Diaries? I bet you can name a lot - too many - but a lot of them slip out of memory. Uncle Mason, anyone? Elena’s real mother and father? Tyler’s parents? Bonnie’s grams? Damon and Stefan’s uncle whatshisface?nAnd let’s just address the giant Damon-shaped elephant sitting on this post: no, the character’s death is not what prompted me to write this message. I stopped watching long before the rumours of his departure even started. However, while Damon’s death wasn’t the reason I stopped watching the show, I admit that it has a lot to do with why I’m not giving it (yet) another chance. It’s just the last, and absolutely final straw for me. Whether or not he’ll be back in season 6 is irrelevant - I’m just so tired of all the character deaths. There’s been too many. It doesn’t shock or awe me anymore, it bores and depresses me. Honestly, at this point, I’m surprised when a TV show doesn’t kill off any of its main cast members. Is this the Game of Thrones effect? Very possibly. Look for an article on how that show is ruining it for everyone else very soon. As far as The Vampire Diaries goes though, I know that it is completely unrealistic to expect that a show entering its sixth season won’t have taken a few turns around the primetime trope dance floor (there’s an image), but I simply don’t care. I’m busy in my age of 17 years old, I don’t have time for something I’ve already seen a hundred times before. The Vampire Diaries was great for a long time because it stayed fresh and challenged itself, while still staying true to its long-running character arcs and developments. Ultimately, a TV show isn’t good because it’s particularly serious or high concept or “edgy,” it’s good because its characters are consistent, true to life and relatable, and because the plotlines - however full of magic and monsters and space ships they might be - can make us reflect critically on our own lives. The Vampire Diaries might be a teen show on The CW, but it did all of these things. It might have started out as a mediocre teen show, but it quickly rose above that. Like Buffy, Alias and Teen Wolf (and my more controversial TV faves Dark Angel and Dollhouse), The Vampire Diaries took an old genre and gave it a fresh twist by giving us realistic, interesting characters and situations, and defying genre stereotypes. But now it just feels played out, and while there may or may not only be one season left, that’s one season too many for me. I wish the show and its fans all the best - but I’m peacing out early. Maybe I’ll check back in around the series finale, just to watch them kill off Elena and/or send her and Stefan off into the sunrise. I'm just done with show.

I agree, I think season 1,2&3 were amazing, but 4& especially 5 is really a disappointment. Stefan and Caroline are the only characters that haven't been destroyed yet. The only reason I watch the show is the hope that stelena will come back, which I believe 100% that they will. Delenas just about sex and breaking up, but I'm not getting into a ship war. Stelena forever!

For me the show is still great. However i do think that it kinda lost its sparkle. The plotlines became less interesting throughout season four, i mean the sirebond thing was lame as fuck. I thought that the show was getting better in the first half of the fifth season but after the episode where Elena was back in her body the show slowly went downhill again... Now we got to deal with Damon and Bonnie being god knows where, how many times can you kill a character and bringing him back from the dead without making the show looks like a big fat joke? Julie Plec is a good writer but the departure of Kevin Williamson of the headwriting of TVD marks the point where TVD lost its sparkle, it's no coincidence it think. All that being said, i do agree with mavricksone, even though the show hasn't been up to the expectations of a lot of fans, imo TVD will always be better than Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries has a bigger, i mean waaay bigger fandom, it got better ratings too, and well, beside the fact that it's a bit less exciting than it used to be, it's still an amazing TV show. I hope that this season will step up from the last two seasons.

I'm very hopeful for Steroline!! They are so good for each other! Them becoming a couple would do very well for their characters! And honestly, I see their relationship being the most successful one! They knew each other for years now! Remember, the most successful relationships always start out with friendship! And I absolutely adore the idea of Bamon. But sadly, I'm aware that it's very unlikely to happen. :( Oh well, Steroline would make up for this! :)
