Palia - How To Get The New Bug Plushies!

I am seriously obsessed with them!! I'm going to be hunting for plushies ALL DAY tomorrow!
I'm having a charity event on Saturday for Adoption First Animal Rescue, and I'll have Palia building material codes to give away for every $200 raised up to our goal of $3,000!! Come hang out, I'm starting at 2PM EST!

For switch players who are having trouble quick-drawing bug bombs or your bow, remember you can edit the position of your tools on the wheel, and it makes a difference. Your bow and your smoke bombs are the only ones you need to draw quickly. On the wheel I can flick to the noon and the three o'clock positions faster than the others with my right thumb, so that's where I position my bow and smoke bombs on the wheel. So experiment with which position you can draw your tools fastest.

I’m on Switch so it is def more difficult to switch out weapons but one thing that helped is that i would make sure I had sticky bombs set. So even if you barely hit the bug it’s enough to stop it temporarily for a more accurate hit. I’ve also learned to slow down just a tad to switch out items. Better to slow down and grab the 💣 the first time than fumbling because you grabbed your bow and now have to switch again. As a switch player I have less time but one thing I’ll say is that my long range 💣 shots have gotten better.

I haven't gotten a bug plushie yet, but yesterday I got a muujin plushie! And then today I got another plushie from Zeki's lucky coin! It was a fun time!

Thank you for the video! I think the devs are in a rut that seems to continually forget about solo players! I have walls of stared lunar bugs and beetles, but I cannot get these two for some reason. Two weeks into the update and still neither of those two, it shouldn’t be that hard for solo players!!

for hitting rocks (and the beetle) its actually better to NOT be in a party. If a party member destroys a rock, it's gone for all party members. If you're not in a party, then each person can destroy the rock individually and therefore increase the chance for a bug spawning. Being in a party only works well for ladybuys, as foragables are always individual

The only thing I will say that is nice about the party for the beetle is that only one of your party members has to hit it! But to be fair, when I'm running around doing beetles we usually have multiple parties doing it at once. If you only had a couple of people I do think your way would be better. :) Parties for ladybugs for sure though, like you said!

also for switch players, this might be common knowledge but I personally didn’t realize it, you can change how fast you aim in the settings! I was struggling to win and actually hit them but now it moves so much quicker

You can map your tools, ie bow and smoke bombs to a number key. My bow is 4 and my bug bomb is 5. I find it faster to switch than hitting R and then selecting tool.

Awesome video, gonna go bug plushie hunting now lol. I have a question though about the glowbugs, what one is it that your suppose to catch, is it the Paper Lantern Bug or the Bahari Glowbug?

Everyone was confused by this because their colors were all messed up! It is specifically the paper lantern bug, which is the one that is caught only in the NORTH of Bahari between 6PM and 3AM!

0kay, can someone tell me the importance of the plushies because, I have a ton and can't figure out why I need them. Do I? I find them annoying because they take up space in storage or I have to put them somewhere. I'm confused about a couple things but, LOVE the game!

You can place your plushies down anywhere you want on your plot. Create a Zoo or something with them.

You can't only be in a party, you also have to be close to one another. Make sure to stick together. :)

I'm sorry you're having such a poor experience. There are DEF a ton of bugs that really need to be addressed, but they did change the plush rates both with Zeki and seemingly with the bugs. I got two bug plushies today and one on launch day! But there are thousands of great games out there, if Palia isn't for you, I hope you find one you love that meets your expectations!

@@RavyniaGaming I don't bother doing things where they are using behavioral manipulation like intermittent reinforcement. It's a vile thing to do to people and should be illegal. I stick to what I do enjoy, which is making pretty plots and doing quests.

You can play however you want. :) But if you really hate games with intermittent reinforcement and don't want to support them because of your personal morals, I recommend the new castle builder Tiny Glade! Just doodling and building castles, nothing to hold you back but your own creativity, and as far as I'm aware, no rng or random drops or random chests or anything like that. Enjoy!
