Many people burned to death in their cars in the Lahania and Paradise, trying to get out. Some in comments called those idiots who left their cars in the middle of the street. But to be burned stuck in your car is very terrifying.

It's one thing if you see flames surrounding you but if you only see smoke and leave your car in the middle of wide paved concrete multiple lane streets, that's just idiotic

@travissiegfried636 From the Palisades currently. As a Lahaina fire survivor who lost 13 friends/ acquaintances just that day, including an entire family burned to death trapped in their truck and currently, add 3 more to that from suicide, being in a situation as that is simply chaos for untrained individuals. Even as a trained individual, it was everything I had to remain calm during moments to myself. Probably the reason I survived is because I chose to evacuate my loving and innocent cat and while doing so, quite literally chase some of my more stubborn neighbors out. Otherwise, I would have been trying to save boats from burning in the harbor. Now to add insult to injury the state DLNR are trying to REMOVE 60% of all commercial tour boats/ water activities permits, losing thousands of jobs statewide and meaning tourists won't get their water activities at a competitive rate or at all due to lack of legal businesses. From a continuing disaster, to a flaming pire of dumpsters, led by the out of touch and FULLY corrupt...🤬🤦♂️

People making comments like this are East Coasters and Midwesterners that don't know what's up with high fire risk zones. And we'll people make choices when they decide to live somewhere that's beautiful but risky. I personally wouldn't take that risk.

Born and raised in California, I can tell you fire near your home is something you will most likely face living in California, along with Earthquakes. It is hard to even imagine a horrific fire being blown from hot winds when you live in a snow storm back East IN THE SAME MONTH. Fires would start back in the hills all the time when I was growing up. I remember back in the 60's through the 90's, my dad sitting on the roof of his home saving the house time and time again from embers that would shoot from the mountains. Fires are normally not some horrific plan from a person or persons, but pretty normal for California. It has always been a super dry State, that has seasons of very warm winds, that can explode with fires. It is like the perfect storm but fire is the storm. Seeing fires come upon a mountain behind were your home is, especially as a child is horrifying. I would remember, more than once, deciding what "toys" I could bring with my clothes to flee a fire. We never lost our home, but many of our friends did. The fires come soooooooooooooooo fast! You see the smoke, then the flames and then you have to leave. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes. I guess you could say it is one of the reasons I do not live in California anymore.

I see lots of fire trucks standing still with flashing lights but very few firefighters actually using hoses to control the fire. What are they busy with? Knocking on doors to make sure no dogs are left behind while homes burn? Yeah, I know it’s difficult to fight a large fire in windy conditions. But if they don’t use their equipment and water to at least try to save house, it looks bad (lazy) and will justifiably lead to criticism after the fire is out.

Beginning of birth pains!! Matthew 24:12 “And because iniquity shall be increased, the love of many shall be cold" Life is but a vapor, here today gone tomorrow. And as it is appointed unto man to die once but after this the judgment. (Hebrews 9:27) in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:4) Surely the arm of the LORD isnt too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your GOD, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear. 1 Peter 1:9 The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls. I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. (Isaiah 45:5) Repent and be born again!! GOD bless you all! Jesus Christ is LORD.. HE will not constantly accuse us or remain angry forever (Psalm 103:9) (John 14:6) Jesus said I Am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.

There are often terrible fires when the winds kick up in Southern California. If you take 5 seconds to look it up you will see terrible fires spanning decades in different parts of the state. The causes are things like power lines or arson or sparks from construction or vehicles or careless fire making. Conspiracy theories are making people crazy.

KTLA YOU NEED TO FACT CHECK BEFORE YOU LET SOMEONE RANT ABOUT SOMETHING THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF! From what I can see in the video footage and knowing what I know about the abundance of electric cars of all brands I California, not just Teslas, smart people and even your reporters should know that an electric car is NOT started with a key. You need a password or a pin or the vehicle smart card…..so correct your mistake and get it right next time. Furthermore you made a serious assumption when you said people abandoned their vehicles in such numbers all at once. You jumped to conclusions without fact checking and examining the possibility they were TOLD by authorities to do so. The media needs more training when it comes to assessing a situation they are reporting on and consider all options.
