Let's craft some palisades for our new campaign. We will need lots of sticks for this one. Make sure to sanitize them before using them. I have to say this was an amazing craft to put together for you.

Another great build, Franky. Tabletop crafting at its best... great idea with simple materials. I suggest that you makes some ramps out of popsicle sticks to bridge the gaps and use as ramps at different levels.

Good build again. Always enjoy your work. You talked about adding color to a build at one point. One of the things I've done in the past is to use parts of plastic plants from the floral section of hobby stores. They come with nice yellow, red, purple, blue, etc. flowers or flocking. You just cut a bit off the main stem, paint the green stalk brown and presto...you've got a nice miniature yellow leafed bush. By the way, I've got an over-abundance of material myself, but can you ever really have too much?. Anyway, the walls look great, almost makes me want to go out and trim some trees.

OK, let's leave something clear here: You didn't make a tabletop model of some palisades, you made *actual miniature wood fortification walls!* It could damn well stand against an enemy army or some monsters provided that they're 28mm scale! Quite labor intensive but by it's very nature it's just perfect!
@FrankyDCrafter4 жыл бұрын
jherazob very true. I plan to have some nasty monsters attack this place.

Franky I am new to the craft and your channel. I see that you and others make a big point of sanitizing found materials. Would you maybe consider in the future doing a video of like a sample with and without this step? That way we could see the reason and importance of this step. To be honest I’m not sure if it affects the durability or it is just a precaution for the current pandemic we are in. I would love to hear your opinion on this in a video or a comment.
@FrankyDCrafter4 жыл бұрын
TioMostFrio the main reason why I do it is because hundreds of people watch my video. And then make their own. I would feel terrible if someone got sick because of something they picked up in the sticks. It’s more of a precaution to make sure people stay safe. Depending on where you are in the world there might be more harmful types of fungi growing on sticks. There could be mold. It’s just a thing where I rather be safe than sorry. Btw welcome to the crafting world. If you have any questions don’t be shy. I try to answer everyone. Plus, Don’t think of me as an expert, I just like to build crap.
@jherazob4 жыл бұрын
The sanitization is because he picked up materials from nature, and, well, there's life living in nature. This life might not necessarily be some life-threatening disease, but it might be bugs, it might be mold, it might be termites, it might be all sorts of things you do *NOT* want on terrain. The sanitization process does kill any dangerous bacteria, but the objective is to avoid having very bad surprises in the future, like having bug-eaten, rotten or moldy terrain, or bringing that to your house to attack you, your furniture or the rest of your terrain. It might even be OK not to do it because the stick is healthy or whatever, but it's *much* better to not take the chances.

@FrankyDCrafter4 жыл бұрын
Don Witness the wash is Vallejo, other paints are mainly craft paints for terrain. Sand I got myself from outdoors, I just sanitized it. The wood in the platforms are popsicles sticks.
