Welcome to Franky D crafter, a channel dedicated on crafting biomes for your table top needs. Today I’m starting a jungle biome for dungeons and dragons and the table top miniature roleplaying games. What better way to start it than with a modular temple.
Sense I joined this hobby I’ve been hoarding packaging foam from family members. And I feel like I hit the jack pot this month with this foam. The texture seems perfect for a goblin temple idea I had bouncing back and forth in my noggin. The idea is to craft an Aztec like temple for them.
I want to make it very clear, these are not ruins. The culture around these temples are still active and a life. Picture Aztec culture before they were conquered. Let’s get to the crafting.

I became a patreon, because you are not create grey dungeon tiles and "realistic " terrain (which does not look that realistic anyways.) I would be interested in nearly anything you did now, but check out acrylic pour painting it could be great for lava fields, river/stream currents, or mineral springs and Geysers. Good luck keep up the epic color palette I think it and your explorative interpretation of traditional terrain is your big strength lean on it and I don't believe you will go wrong.

You know about the Necrons from Warhammer 40k? Right at 8:12 I instantly was imagining the decorations with the swirls being painted a glowing green and leaving all the rest a metalic grey color and using it for Necrons.

9:40 You might have been able to make a mask out of thin cardstock that exposed sections of the tan stone. Then you could dry-brush the stones and leave the grey perimeter untouched when you remove the mask. Many of those sections were the same size so you could reuse the mask. Just musing about a faster way.

Anaris10 Im not Aztec, although that would be cool. I’ve seen the art, lots of earthy reds blues and yellows. It’s really amazing. I’m actually Mexican. But I try to incorporate different cultures in my games because it makes the world a lot more interesting. My players love the goblins in my game. I based their entire culture on the cultures of all the natives of south and north America. I also didn’t want to make it like a ruin because most natives aside from being incredible mathematicians were also very artistic.

I'm still trying to figure out how to make them look like actual brickwork rather than being obviously EPS (as well as how to go about cutting out windows).
