Toy-Ventures returns with a super fan recap of a toy hunt at an Antique Mall and then a toy show. I see some incredible things and go home with a surprisingly cool vintage toy.

Loved that Godzilla as a kid, I was also mesmerized by the card art and tried to replicate it the best I could.

I picked up that same Web figure from a friend last year for like $3. Good stuff. It looks to me like that Grendizer is a customized Mattel version. I hope the dealer pointed that out.

I still have mine, my all-time favorite childhood toy (with Shogun Godzilla a close second); very worn, but still intact. I don't dare try to pose him, though.

I remember finding a Remco Comet and Shield on a pharmacy toy rack when I was a kid and not knowing what they were until I picked up a mighty crusaders comic at a used bookstore. Regretted not getting at least one of them. I would have chosen the Shield

Overwhelmed by nostalgia. At the beginning I saw a DFC “Dragon Riders of Styx” playset and “Over 115 Pieces”. I had a fantastic time with those back in ‘83. Bought a set using my allowance at Woolco! Holy grails of mine would be a Micronauts Ampzilla or Hornetroid.

Gaiking! and why is PIDGE always the only Voltron pilot anyone finds? did they make more of him than the others? at 15:09 That's the Lego Robin Hood Hide-Out!!! I had that as a kid. That was the FIRST Lego set that i actually assembled according to the directions! before that, i was always looking at lego sets like "i need that windshield...i need those wings..." as Baron Karza looks at humans to for body parts. But that set was the first time I actually built it exactly the same as in the directions! EDIT...after rewinding, it's not the SAME but from the same series. Mine was smaller. it had a lift-up panel...and it was the first in that series that i saw.

Givwn that the Mighty Crusaders actuon figures imitated both the 'action feature' of the Super Powers line and the 'secret mission' shields of Secret Wars; I've always assumed this line and Defenders of the Earth were put out as 'play-along' figures for the Mattel and Kenner lines.
@BrickMantooth

Not a grail but I still have the GE Batman nightlight as seen at 18:09 in the top right corner on the blue card. Got it as a kid in the late 70s and still to this day lights my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Quality products really can last a lifetime.

Nice bit of Captain Simian figures! I'd have death matched you for that Zacherle record. That's an awesome Godzilla. I've not seen any Micronauts for years until last weekend, saw a boxed Battlecruiser for an insane price. That Gatchaspartan looked so crisp! Seen so many of the Blacktron Cruisers out there as it was a reimagineering for the anniversary and dropping $200 in a Lego store got you it for free. That is a sweeeeet Microman find! Congrats on it.

Great video! That Microman rescue base is a gem! No surprise that Grandizer was pricey. Looked like it was in good shape. The opaque Micronaut is - I believe - from the Interchangeables, but I could be wrong about that; I don’t think Mego sold the opaque Time Traveler.

I found that "Story of Star Raiders" story record fascinating, I had no idea they made those for Atari games and Star Raiders was a favorite. The anime playing cards next to Oberon jumped out at me, those are all Chinese bootlegs made from Japanese trading card images and they were produced for just about every series. Hadn't seen or thought about them in ages.
