It wasn't until a few years ago when I saw these guys live that I noticed one guitarist plays 6 strings while the other plays 7, which blew my mind, for some reason. Is this more common than I think or is it pretty unique to Pallbearer?
@tarkenton38954 жыл бұрын
Some bands do it in different ways. Archspire's guitarists play a 7 string and an 8 string respectively. Tbh both of the guys here are in a variation of Drop A. The only difference is Joe is missing a high e string and the major 3rd interval between strings is in a different place (since the 6 string is in AEADf#b and the 7 is AEADGbe)

Pallbearer, is one a handful of Doom bands I respect and enjoy! Well done, boys!!🤘🤘 Side note, I am digging the resurgence of players using Ludwig drums and Frankenstein cymbal setups. It’s like OK to not play all matching cymbals, sponsorships not withstanding! I respect players who go for sound combinations, and don’t care about aesthetics. Music is about feel and passion, NOT looking pretty! NOTHING beats the sheer intense thunder of Ludwig Classic Maple and a well-tuned Remo Black Dot. Too much for the studio, but fuck it. Get a better producer, or mics!! 😜
