I have watched this set again and again. I feel like I have been waiting for this band all my life. I'm the guy who would re-listen to individual parts of songs when they would break down into that love-able roar 3/4 of the way through like Tool's "Stinkfist" or the "Situationist" by Shiner. They have always left me wanting more. But not with Spotlights--who've turned this roar into several amazing full-lengths and I would travel many miles to see them live. They also seem like really sweet people, which proves my point that those involved in metal are some of the nicest and smartest people in the music industry. What an amazing band!

My favorite songs by these guys are 'The Grower', 'What is This? Where Are We?', 'A Southern Death'. RIYL: Jawbox, Shiner, The Life and Times, The Raymond Brake, Superchunk. I sound like a 90s alternative magazine 😂. Anyways, I ❤ these guys.

This band is where the Melvins meets My Bloody Valentine. Excellent stuff!

Heavy riffs and so fucking clean. probably my top 5 bands!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, me too. It's appropriate that they are touring with Shiner a lot. It's like they took one of Shiner's huge riffs and expanded them exponentially into full lengths.

I think these guys sound great live 👌 Haven't heard new album yet but I look forward to hearing it. One of my new favorite bands!
How is it that this video still has less than 1000 views? Such a great band with a unique sound.

They're using the Verellen amps also! The bands that use them all sound huge! Ben Verellen is a sonic Genius!

Is it the band, the venue, or both? Every band I like sounds like a million dollars at St. Vitus. Totally rockin' every time. You can see people head banging up front.

Jesus Christ. I don't understand it. When a band plays to an audience of statues that cross their arms and try their best not to have a good time?!

Okay so I'm new to this band. Loved what I heard on their album Love & Decay. Now I'm checking them out live on line... gotta admit I'm disappointed (full disclosure.. I only listened to the first 2 songs and I liked them). At my age it's hard to get into a band that uses that many backing tracks. Just one more musician on stage would have made a world of difference to me, but to each their own. I like their album Love & Decay and will keep jamin it. I'm a little worried the audience didn't seem to be into the band. Maybe it was all the backing tracks? But still, I'm looking forward to listening to SPOTLIGHTS' earlier albums.

I hear what you are saying but any live performance on you tube never does the bands justice until you hear it with your own ears,,,they are heavy powerful live,,,
@darkwoodsdf4 жыл бұрын
@@gmanhirt8818 I've seen them live multiple times and I agree with @punktexas. They need a 4th member live. It sounds LOUDER live but not better.

You clearly don’t know what is a lot of backing tracks. Plus they assume it.

One of the heaviest loudest shows I’ve seen. Heavier than Melvins. Just gotta see them live

Weird, I think Spotlights is incredible live. I had never heard of them until I saw them live as an opener for Pallbearer in 2018 (a few days before this live set was recorded actually). They absolutely blew me away with their performance and I’ve been a fan ever since. To this day it’s one of the heaviest performances I’ve ever seen.
