Despite being the largest city in Brevard County at an estimated 129,000. Palm Bay always felt like a bedroom community than the main city in Brevard. For one, it doesn’t have an official downtown. Another crazy thing about Palm Bay is that it has plenty of room to grow. The western area known as the compound is undeveloped. -Lifelong Cocoa, FL resident

Exactly what I think. The main city of Brevard County to me is easily Melbourne (even though the original seat is still under Titusville, the courthouse alongside all the government stuff in the county largely moved into it's centralized region, and Viera is still an unincorporated suburban part of Melbourne). Palm Bay is mainly community based and suburban feeling. A lot of places in Florida are like that. Like in Sarasota County, the biggest city is North Port, or in Lee County Cape Coral is the biggest instead of Fort Myers. These places are mostly new and are mostly just suburban communities to the bigger metro region.

Palm Bay doesn't really have a downtown. Mainly suburban sprawl.

I never seen The Beautiful Picture of US1 High way from Port Malabar to Palm Bay Road .I was at Kirkland Road not too far from Palm Bay Road and US1 Hwy 👍👍👏👏 Circle K changed Located and Kirkland Motel not any more

Dixie Highway a.k.a US1. I applied for a job at Harris but never got anywhere. Since when is there anything on the other side of 95? Used to be a gas station or maybe a truck stop.
