Today I wanted to test out my new GOPRO HERO 10 while walking from Aruba's Palm Beach to Eagle Beach area. I know many of you have asked me if it's walk-able so in this video I tackle that.

Nice video. We were last in Aruba in Nov 2019. We've been staying at the Holiday Inn. Every morning around 7:30, we run along the sidewalk on the beach side down to the the Amsterdam Manor. The road that now is for walking/biking was closed to traffic. Where that tunnel is at now, is where we would start to run on the road. Like hearing the local bird sounds. We like the tower in the bird sanctuary. Ground there crawls with colorful lizards. See ya in 2022!

Greetings Hyro, I’ve watched some of your videos and I enjoy them very due to the fact that they are very informative. My wife and I will be cruising on Royal Caribbean to Aruba next week. We have never been to Aruba but are looking forward to our trip. We have decided to go to one of the beaches when we arrive but haven’t chosen which beach yet. We are leaning toward Palm beach. Getting a cab from the port seems to be straight forward and easy to do from watching your videos but my concern is getting a cab back to port . Our cruise ship will be docked in port until 11:00pm. We don’t want to miss getting back to the ship, so what’s the cab situation like as far as the availability of cabs all day long. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Edward, the Palm beach is great for a day visit. Lot's of facilities, bars, restaurants & watersports. You should have no problem catching a cab back to the port. Just head to any of the hotels lobby and if there isn't one there, they can call one for you. Enjoy your cruise!

As always, Thank You for sharing another awesome video from Aruba! My wife and I are going to be there in March!! Coming in on Royal Carribean cruise for the day. Our plan is to rent a jeep so we can take in as much as possible. Your video's have been nothing less than awesome and informative. We just purchased the GoPro 10 as well, your video turned out nice, clean and in focus. I've seen complaints of overheating but, you clearly didn't have any issues 😊 Looks like you may have shot it in Natural. I have a question if I may; What mic setup are you using? Hello there, thanks for your kind message. My excuses for my late reply here but I truly try to answer everyone. Renting a Jeep is a great way to explore the island! The new GoPro10 did overheat on me during today's walk. It seems around 30 Min. max at 4K. If you are not shooting continuously like I do, you should have no issues and it's a great camera! As for the audio, I recently got a Tascam DR-10L and it works very well considering our (extremely) windy conditions here on Aruba. I hope this info helps.

@@LetsgowithHyro Thank you for your reply! No problem, you're not to late and I appreciate you doing so. I wouldn't normally shoot that long at once therefore, I will be good to go. I'm looking strong at getting ND filters for the GoPro 10 but, with the lack of EV being unavailable when shooting has me at a stand still. On my DJI Mavic Air drone I choose the best ND according to my EV being as close to 0.0. May I ask; Are you shooting in Auto shutter and WB with good results without ND's in your bright sun there? If so, I'll just go that route and adjust the EV 0.0 to - 0.0. Your video's always look nice and clean and in focus. Thanks again for your awesome video's. Ook de Embassy .... (hoe heet het ook al weer, die bijna af is), allemaal leuk maar de kustlijn raakt te vol ben ik bang voor .... (dat moest ik effe kwijt). 12:13 There is not a lot of space on the water's edge for people to lay on the beach or have seating or any of the typical things you have on the beach, what is their plan to make that beach more usable for the amount of people that will be staying at the Embassy? Will they be clearing out some of the trees and bushes? (Sad), relocating them (better), extending the beach (potentially problematic) or what? What about the seagrass? Usually it's not an issue but there seems to be a lot of it in this spot and also quite close to the shore, making it a bit unpleasant to swim and walk over.

All great questions! There is indeed not much space. The hotel is still not ready and nobody really knows or at least they are not telling (yet). The trees in that area would be very difficult to relocate to my best knowledge. On the left side there is a beach which I have swam at on occasion but it's not that good compared to the rest of Palm Beach (or Eagle Beach). The grass area here is indeed a lot but in a way I think it's also important to keep the area balanced (ecologically). So I am wondering really what is going to be done because otherwise the Embassy is not the best beach front resort on the island. If damage is permitted it would be a shame because other projects on the island have been stopped because of (damage) nature concerns. Let's see what happens.

The seagrass doesn't bother me as much, you just have to deal with it honestly, but the lack of space for seating or just laying on the beach is an issue, maybe they aren't allowed to mess with it and it will just be a not so great spot to swim. Really curious what they will do, especially since they built the tunnel so they obviously want to encourage people to go to that beach. Then again not every hotel needs to have great beach access right on it's door step, The Mill Resort (now called Courtyard by Marriot I think?) doesn't have beach access at all until you cross the street and go past Riu and it does fine so maybe they can do the same at Embassy.

Do you know how many miles it would be from cruise ships port to Palm beach and to Arashi beach and how far can you walk on beach to get from ship to Arashi beach? And 1 more question is there anything to rent to drive to lighthouse at Arashi beach? My sister and I was thinking about taking local bus to beach but walking would be nicer so we could see all the beaches along the way. I hope to walk so we can see the Tamarijn and Divi Resort, I stayed there years ago but my last trip I stayed on Palm beach. I have been to lighthouse years ago and I know my sister would like that. We will be there on the Horizon ship Nov. 1 and hope it is a beautiful day and maybe we can run in to you! Again Thanks for all the great videos!

Hello, from the cruise port to Palm Beach it would be around 6 to 7 KM. From Palm Beach to Arashi would be another 5KM. That's more or less 8 miles each way from the cruise port all the way to Arashi Beach. The first part of the walk would not be directly at the beach because you would have to go around the cruise port terrain itself. After that it's a nice walk along the beach with some areas being a bit rocky. You could try renting a bike but tbh they are expensive. You would be better off with taking the bus to Arashi beach and walk back or vice versa. Hope to see you too!

As you're walking on the road and those cars are parked on the road there, is that street parking?

There is a very small space between the road and those trees. It's not paid parking but I assume with all of the construction in the area that the workers are parking there for the time being (it's normally not the case).
