Awesome. When you put the ashes of Dillinger Escape Plan under immense heat and pressure, you create the diamond that is Palm Reader.

I suppose I should have expected this huge leap in quality on all fronts. I think when a band releases a 10/10 album you don't ever think they can beat it. Palm Reader though have this habit of building on every album to make the next one even better. Bands 10 times their size seem to have trouble with this. I really don't know what it is that sets them apart. I guess if we knew, there would be 1000 Palm Readers. I'm just glad we have even one.

Is it just me or does this track have a very post-rock/post-metal feel to it? I love the atmosphere of this song, it's brooding and menacing at points, while being blissful at others.

Very atmospheric scenery in these melodies. My favorite album of yours is Beside the ones we love, such good balance of tragedy and beauty. I've never been one for lyrics, but the instrumentations bring such visual poetry in my mind, and the best one for me (so far) is Black Hand. Thank you Palm Reader. If you were a flower, you'd be a dark red lotus growing in the midst of an abandoned asylum.

Maybe one day. The problem is what how we play the songs change year on year. And also changes depending if we are playing as a 5/6 or 7 piece. Some songs are in Drop C, some in GGCFAD, some in FGCAD. The first two records are in Drop Db except Unabridged which is something weird haha

Can someone tell me what’s happening with the timing in the lead up to the 2nd chorus. I can count 21 beats, not connecting smoothly. It’s 3/4 but maybe the last bar where the vocals re-enter is 5/4. Incredibly frustrating. I don’t know why bands do this. Northlanes a new song Clockwork has something similarly frustrating.
