Palm Sunday - The Polish way!

Today I take you on a small journey to another Polish tradition, as the Easter season is upon us, learn a little about how Poland begins this festival, witness a Polish Mass (only a small segment) and see some of the rituals conducted here!
Brit in Poland is the genuine account of a British Expat who lives in Warsaw, through this account I want to show people what it is like to live abroad, to educate people about the country of Poland, to tell the history of Poland and to show off what this place has to offer, providing guides to locations I have visited and experiences I have taken part in.

I was lucky to go with a Polish friend, I’m not the most Christian person when it comes to tradition, though I love to see the culture here and how they embrace these special days!

According to Polish tradition, it is believed that the height of your palm reflects the size and wealth of its owner’s property/estate. Apparently a person who fails to prepare a palm is likely to suffer from bad luck and misfortune ;-)

This day is well known in the US as a "Dyngus Day" in Buffalo, NY. And also less in other cities like Cleveland and Chicago.
