Bobby Hamilton lived around the corner from me. I went to Eastern High School with two others. Ted Maduro and I go back to jr high. The Stridells sang Mix It Up. Later they came together to become The Choice Four. Jerry Cummings of Harold Melvin and the BlueNotes came out of Eastern during that time. Our high school talent shows were so good they sold out the Howard Theater in Washington DC Friday and Saturday nights.

He reminds me of the legendary singers we have from Philadelphia, PA. William Hart (The Delfonics), Russell Thompkins Jr. (The Stylistics) and Teddy "Wizard" Mills (Blue Magic)!

IMO, the Choice Four was on the Wrong Record Label! Just my opinion. Philly, Motown, Atlantic Stax, (any Soul/R&B label), any Label besides RCA. They seem to be more regional then a national push with promotions...Sad! They had Everything to compete with, or were right up there with those Groups ^^^ With Van McCoys Writing & Arrangement and their vocals and harmonies...

I agree with you 100%! Mr. Baker! His tenor range sounds like Russell Thompkins Jr. & Ted Mills. If TSOP would have signed them up continued record success would have give them major accomplishments Nationwide & Overseas.

RIP, we had a friend who was friends with him. We went to a couple of parties in the 70s with them & your uncle could dance. We didn’t want to dance with him cause you couldn’t keep up with him. Lol. At the time I didn’t realize he was in the Choice Four or probably before the hit album. We were younger than them, fresh out of high school.

I used to hear this song when I was in my teens I didn't know the artists, I rediscovered this song about 8 years ago and from then it is one of my favourite song....Choice4 is so underrated even though they have great harmony and the lead singer falsetto is smooth and on point.
