Where can I find this trail? I want to hit it tomorrow

Its in the hills above aqueduct, west of Highland HS. This video starts from the highest hill, with a wooden bench / gazebo thing at the top.

Any slopestyle jump trails in the AV? Hit me back if you got time to ride?
@NearlyFromAfar5 жыл бұрын
I'm not brave enough to ride that kind of stuff, but there was a guy from years back called Handiecrapper56 that had a lot of Palmdale riding videos of bigger trails. Not sure if he's still around. I think a lot of them are unsanctioned so you have to find them. I've never tried.

Also, are you the inventor of your quad bike? That's pretty amazing. You should try to get in touch with Martyn Ashton if you haven't already. He's often trying e bikes now since his accident.

Hello, I live out in Azusa. This trail looks great but is it worth the drive out? Thanks
@NearlyFromAfar10 жыл бұрын
Hey there. This trail is definitely NOT worth driving over from Azusa for. You've got plenty of awesome trails on your side of the mountain. I'd take Marshall Canyon over the trails out here any day. Cheers

Nice! I must find this...is it west of Goode Hill Road? I'm up there all the time never seen it?
@NearlyFromAfar10 жыл бұрын
It's actually east of Godde Hill road. Coordinates are 34.606659, -118.214736, at the highest gazebo of the trail system. Head southwest to find the beginning of the trail, and it makes its long curving sweep. Super fun, but easy to miss if you're not looking for it.

+NearlyFromAfar *Hi, I live in Palmdale near R8 and 57th E, are there any landmarks I can look for on Godde Hill road? simple directions.*

+Escape for Mankind Godde Hill Rd is basically 60th west. If you're all the way on the east side, I don't think you have any reason to drive all the way to 60thW/Godde Hill to start the ride. Look on google maps at Highland High School. A street (Ave P-12) ends one block to the west of it. That's where my video ends. Park there, and ride west into the hills. I guess you can watch my video backwards to see the literal route I took, but most people go one-way on it (the way you see in the video). They get to the gazebo from much wider and easier trails. If you're completely new to that area, just mess around. There are a ton of other trails to explore and connect. There's really no easy way for me to describe how to get to the highest gazebo, other than to say stick to trails that keep the aqueduct in sight (you'll be south of it), and always go higher. It's on the highest hill.

+NearlyFromAfar *I know where Godde Hill rd is, your ride looked like it was downhill almost the entire run. You say there's a Gazebo I can see from Godde Hill? I also know where P12 next to the High School is, I worked at Pizza Hut on Palmdale blvd for 15 years, so I can park my car at P12 and just ride off into the hills? sounds pretty cool.*

Yeah, I am mostly going down hill because of how much elevation you gain by the time you get to that gazebo. Really can't remember if the gazebo is line of sight visible from Godde Hill Rd, but even if it was, you'd still need binoculars to see it. It's still far. Look up the coordinates I posted in another comment, and you'll see the gazebo hill is a lot closer to 60th W than Highland HS. And yes, you can park on the street behind Highland and ride into the hills. Lots of fun trails in there. Don't focus on just looking for the gazebo, because you'll be missing all the other great trails in there.
