Nice palms! That's a cool neighborhood too. Does look a lot like Charleston. Thanks for the tour!

In my opinion, windmills have the most beautiful inflorescence

Love all those palms, Charlotte is really palmy!

Looks great! I’ll bet you won’t find any palms where I live... Western NY. BUT, I do have banana trees that come back EVERY year from the roots WITHOUT ANY winter protection! They only get about 2-3 feet tall though before the first frost of the year (usually October) kills them...

Impressive! I tried a hardy banana in CT once but it didn't make it past the first winter

Well, I don’t try to keep anything above the ground alive. I just let the frost do it’s thing and then in the spring, it comes back from the roots. Again, the plants only get to be about 18-24 inches tall, but at least they keep coming back! @@keeganspalmstropicals

Those Palmettos are gorgeous considering they are so far away from the coast!

I wonder if they do anything during the winter to protect them from the snow ???
@keeganspalmstropicals Жыл бұрын
As far as I'm aware they are completly unprotected. Also, it isn't snow that hurts the palms, but rather the low Temps. That being said, the palms in this video only start taking damage in the low teens, apart from the windmills which take considerably lower. 😊

When this video was shot.....was it winter time? I noticed that the grass was brown and no leaves on the trees?
