Isnt opening with shadow strike and flag risky because they can cc you before you reach the gcd for a kidney? Plenty of times I've been coiled or stunned etc before I can stun them and it feels like the go is ruined after that.

open with gouge. You gain all combo points opening with gouge, then use kidney shot for full duration. at this point the target is obligated to use trinket to leave cc, if it does you use cheat shot and do the combo. put shadow blade/ shadow dance/ symbol of death and trinket all in one macro for bursting once.

This can work in bg blitz setting, in arena setting you kind of have to open with cheap, because every decent player has stun arena1 arena2 arena3 macro and as soon as you show and pop non cheap cd you get insta cced and your burst wasted or trinket wasted

Definitely disagree. Thought and talked about it with Kalvish a lot and we kind of agreed its just terrible to open in stuns with how the game is right now. Just play to ramp up and play around pressure, not just a full cc opener.

You'd think so but it's just awful to play like that right now. Lose out on so much damage, can't even do an opener with flag since it doesn't build combo points, makes the rotation clunky and terrible!

I see this vid is a bit older so maybe somethin changed or maybe I'm missing something/missed the explanation somehow. But why is Rupture needed for sub in place of the kidney? Rupture has no special interaction with deathstalkers mark afaik and youd still get the big eviscerate at the end of the rotation, ss - flag - kidney - everything + ss - 1 evisc - ss - 2 tech - cheap - 3 evisc - cheap - big evisc. I mean the other rotation works too, you just end up trading a rupture for 1 second less stun and 1 less ss but you also start off slower because you dont stun until 2 - 3 globals after opening. Edit - After running it again the only problem I see is that tea will fall off just before the big evisc, also if u dont play it perfect shadow dance could possibly fall off as well, the big evisc should happen on the 7th second after popping dance, giving u 1 sec of room.

someone copied my one sided orb shoulder style for rogue. try the shoulder cape (dueler's midnight or faded) instead of armor as 2nd shoulder slot. fares well with the hood.

I created a cast sequence for you homie open with this: #showtooltip /castsequence reset=15 Shadowstrike, Rupture, Flagellation, Shadow Dance, Shadow Blades, Cheap Shot, Secret Technique, Symbols of Death,, Shadowstrike, Eviscerate, Shadowstrike, Eviscerate, Cheapshot . this hits max character limit, after you finish this cast sequence you can just shadowstrike evis cheap over and over with some vanishes maybe. Yw in advance and gl mate!

There are pvp dummies in Dornogal next to pvp vendors, multi target and single target dummies. They activate pvp talents and take pvp stuns.

Yeah having to open with 2 globals before you stun the target doesn't seem super practical. But I couldn't really figure out a smooth way to open with cheap shot while also using flagellation, so idk if there is a "perfect" opener.

Sap something and strike in to start, think of it more as ramp up then opening to insta 1 shot, thats just not the best way to play anymore regardless.
