One thing that helps me move bases, I put the largest container next to my pal box and just try to transfer everything to that container, (or smaller ones if that's easier) and just over load my inventory and since the box is next to the pal box I don't need to walk while I'm 9999/800lbs and you can still fast travel, dump your goods in a box at the new base and repeat until it's all transferred. It's not perfect but it never takes me too long until I need to organize boxes. A grapple hook helps too while your carrying stuff to your bases first box!

Was thinking they should expand on this in the techtree. Add "Riftspace Storage Crate" (expensive and 1/base for easier implementation) where you can interact with it and 'fast travel' items between them. And unlock the option to destroy a base in 2 phase: 1st: 'pack phase' Destroys everything except Palbox and rift crate, good for reorganizing from scratch or using the crate to transfer everything between bases. And then finish abaddoning old base if you so wish. Also haven't got that far, but if there isn't, mount pal storage would be nice. Saddle up a Mammorest with pouches and 10x weightload than player character... or lead a caravan of Melpaca... latter definately needs AI improvement beforehand.

Tip Nr. 1 (Ore problem): Build your second base to where 6-8 ores are next to each other (There are several places like this in the world). Be sure not to build on the ore's place. Then put in loads of at least "mining 2" pals, some pals to transport, 1-2 fire pal to melt and cook, and some to do the farming watering stuff so it will be a self-sufficient base. Put the only chest in that base right next to the palbox (and the furnace right next to the box, so you can put the ingots into the box without moving), so even if you grab all the ingots you can teleport to your main base with it, there put a chest right next to that palbox as well, so you can put in the box without moving. If the pals have mining 2 at least then they will mine the ores in the base automatically.

So the problem right is that this is a lot of meta junk. Up until the ore point you're kinda allowed to play by your own devices and explore, and even at first ore is fine. When you need 100 ingots though, suddenly you need to actually do a hardcore grind. You need to find one of these spots, and there's not a ton out there, thankfully one is right next to a church so it's natural to find, but then you also have to find a bunch of Level 2 mining Palmons, and that is an annoying grind in its own right. Basically, all of this takes the natural exploration of the game and really forces you to do stuff at a rate that is pretty jarring, turning the game into a scramble for resources.

this doesn't work... I found a video advising to do exactly this, I went and farmed a bunch of Digtoises (lvl 3 mining) and made a mining outpost. The harvesting rate is ridiculously slow. everytime I find myself needing ore (which is absolutely all the time) I go there and pick up maybe 30 to 60 units... It would take hours upon hours to gather any significant amount. Hours during which I'm gonna go through 500+ units, just in ammo... I understand that I'd need to give them time to gather more, but what am I supposed to do, go mine it myself in the meantime? kinda defeats the purpose... Grabbing your pickaxe and mining it yourself is just more efficient, the harvest rate is not even comparable. I can gather 300+ units in a few minutes, they make maybe 50 an hour...

For the number 1 on this list, there is a pretty easy way to cope with getting ore. I found a place with 8 deposits all bunched up and just made a second base with beds, berry farm and the pals to be able to make food, pick up items and mine.( you’ll need pals with level 2 mining for ore) this way you’ll be collecting all of those ore deposits every day as they respawn. I’ve not had to mine for ore for a while now, I can go explore or try gathering other resources from pals while the base 3 are all collected automatically

you don't even need a berry farm you use too many pal slots in the base, just get 2 chikipi in a ranch, they produce eggs. In my current game it seems they produce up to 90 percent of the base's food requirements, it may be because of later game pal's requiring more food, but it's really easy to stock them up with berries from my home base and the eggs just supplement the foood req

@Klotbeck there's a site near the Anubis boss. Over the water and up the cliffs, lots of ore and one coal deposit. It's also next to a skill fruit tree. Also in the desert the Anubis boss is in, you can get digitoise. who has a lvl3 mining power and nothing else

@@Klotbeck There are many spots around the world I’ve come across, some even better than the one I’ve set up. But getting the farm setup makes that base 100% self sustaining, I literally set it up and haven’t had to change anything since. I’d recommend you capture a pal you can fly (depending what level you are) and you’ll easily be able to find a spot. I don’t like giving exact locations out as I prefer to find and experience things in games myself. I’ve seen there are videos that can show “mining base’s” but I don’t know how much they put into it. Since I’ve made this I had to find a place for my third base and I set up exactly the same way for coal

For number 3 to build the stair look at the wall not the floor. Also place the wall triangle first before the stair. Just think if the stairs as the final piece of the puzzle.

I actually figured out the snapping of building pieces. You have to point the cursor to the edge you're trying to snap to. Works for me every time.

Tip for no.8 after upgrading your base to lvl 10 you can create a whole nother base while keeping the old one and teleport between the two. hope this helps anyone!

some of these issues have workarounds, when moving bases keep the palbox on both bases for easy fast travel while moving stuff. for corpse runs, keep a spare of hot/cold armor and a flying pal makes the job way easy. as for mining materials, i plan my bases around that - 1 HQ for all crafting/grazing/cooking/wood/stone, 1 base for mining iron and coal and another base for sulfur and breeding. having more than 3 bases would help for quartz. its annoying to be going back and forth to get materials tho, it would be extremely helpful if every base item count is connected between them.

I know that, yet I still feel like cap rate us cursed. My buddies and I are currently hovering around level 25 and sometimes we throw multiple of our rare Terra Spheres and a pretty much dead Pal at >60% cap rate breaks free within the first tick while my buddy who is mainly building the base and has found 7 statues in total throws a regular sphere with 0.16% and caps it first try! I know how chances works and a bit of survivor ship bias is probably playing into this aswell, yet it happens way too often to be just mere chance!

Number 8 can be remedied by making a new base without removing the old base, it's still gonna be slow, but you can teleport from one base to the other with materials to easily minimize the amount of travel needed, especially if you can condense the materials to containers near the palbox and move it to containers near the palbox on the other end, that way most of the time needed will be fast travelling and putting it from one box to another... After you empty your old base, travel to the new one and delete the old base from the map? Number 1 can be remedied by making a mining base, I had the idea recently to find an area on the map that's congested with ore rocks, then put a base near them and set up pals that can break them (for me its tombats), have them mine the ore rocks and have some transport pals bring them to a chest... I personally also have a furnace there as well, as each ore weighs 8, and 2 are needed per bar which means 16 weight converts to 5 weight per bar which is easier to take back to the main crafting base you have... Since doing this ore has been much less of an issue for me and I know there are likely better ore spots than the one I have now as I've seen spots with like... 10 ore rocks in one spot before

Moving base doesnt have to be that bad. You can either wait till you unlock a new base to build (max 3) or if you already have 3, break the base you want to move down, move the materials to another base and store them in temporary boxes, destroy the palbox last so you can do it all with nearby fast travel and then put the palbox elsewhere and rebuild the base.

@@mrmr-qx4jq Well, some Pals have abilities for making certain things. Some people might see them as "tools" because you can use them to work your base and make things for you. But then, you can build special items to make them more efficient at their jobs. Like you can build a Toolbox that when placed in your base, it makes Pals using their Handiwork Skill (building and crafting) work faster. The same with placing a brazier which makes Pals using their Kindling Skill work faster. Essentially, you are making tools so your "tools" can make your more tools (i.e. weapons/armor/etc).

You can build the triangles under the stairs, if you place them before the stairs. Also, to place stairs you need to place them against a side wall, so if you want to do it in a middle of a 3x3 for example, you'd need to first put up a wall in the central square, place the stairs against that wall, and then you can desassemble the wall.

You dont even need to increase capacity, just add storage boxes to teh side of both pal bases central thongy and you can teleport with 8000 weight no issue and if you need to move you can always use the grapling gun that still move syou even when over capacity

For spheres: Pal sphere: level 1-9 Mega sphere: lvl 10-19 Giga sphere: 20-29 Hyper sphere: 30-39 Ultra sphere: 40-49 Legendary sphere: 50 These are levels for pals. If you use a pal sphere on a lvl 10-19 then you’ll get lower chance, compared to if you were using a mega sphere. Using a better sphere will increase your chances. Ideally you wanna get a boss pal under 100 health to maximise your chances. You also get a bonus for hitting their back or having a status effect on them. Best thing to use is a stun baton bcos you can still stun even when it’s damaged. It doesn’t work against electric or ground type so for that you use a pal to apply fire or freeze.

@@ConeyIslandKing It's mostly just b-roll footage. I'm level 26 and trying to catch anything around my level is damn near impossible. Used like 6 gigaspheres on one of those kelpsea ignis. It had pixels for health and I was using the stun baton to shock it before every throw. It's even worse with the larger pals. Used all of my hyperspheres on one and the catch rate was only 5%. Ended up just killing it.

ive been level 50 twice and caught all pals and its not really difficult. you have to use tools in the game. electric paralyze rod, pals with those attacks when theyre sleeping at night, lower HP and many more tools this game provides @@uncannyvalley3190

I think the spheres are simpler than people realise. Lower the pal's health enough, then use a sphere in relation to their level? Pal Sphere - up to level 10, Mega Sphere up to level 20, Giga Sphere up to level 30, Hyper Sphere up to level 40 and Legendary Sphere up to level 50. Sometimes a lower Sphere does work with a higher level pal, depends on how many other spheres you have thrown and how many other pals are in the area? At least, it's what I've noticed.

the one thing ive seen people doing while complaining about the capture rate, is trying to capture them on full health. the capture rate increases significantly the closer it is to dying. it can go from a .03% chance to 50% even on tougher enemies

@@50centjohn There is a bonus for throwing at the pal's back, so it might have something to do with whatever's happening. Wouldn't surprise me with how spastic some of these are that you'd throw a 2% ball only for the Pal to suddenly turn around and land you the 30% bonus for no reason.

10:01 you actually can. You have to first build the triangles and after that you put the stairs on top. Same with the roof, you just gotta put the mouse cursor on the border of the wall or the other roof and it will snap automatically. If it doesn't snap the right direction, scroll with the mouse wheel until it does.

I got super into the base building. It's ROUGH but could be really really good if they rework it. So real quick for the stairs you have to put the triangle pieces down first, then you can put the stairs in, then another roof/floor piece and then back to the triangles. You can make the stairs as high as you want if you support it well.

There are some issues with the walls and some with building.... but catching pals is just stats, getting fluids/ore is easy once you figure it out and going in cold/warm areas wihtout a pal out to help is just complaining about not knowing how to use mechanics in game

You don’t have to move your stuff on foot from base to base, use your pal box to fast travel between your old and new base. Obviously you need to put down a pal box at the new location first so only bring the necessary materials to build the pal box and go from there

For #8, the better method for moving stuff from one base to your new base is to remember that your base has its own fast travel. That blue box thing you put down where you manage your pals lets you fast travel. So put down the blue box for your new base and then fast travel back to your old base's blue box, grab your stuff, then fast travel to your new base's blue box with the stuff.

Honestly I wish that when you were in the build menu for building structures it would pool resources from all of your bases to fill the crafting requirements I think it's fine if it doesn't do that for workbench style crafts tho and just kept them local but it would really help moving around for the more generalized builder menue

For the ores what you need to do is place a base at a spot with a bunch of ore with a bunch of Anubis they will both break the ore fast and collect it if you place chests strategically. To get Anubis early all you have to do is bread a Penking with a Bushy.

@@billyzyron5960 I found Beegardes south of the tower where the second boss is located (which is the small icy area with a lake in the center). This island is southwest of the huge desert island. You can also get coal here if you travel near the small volcanic spot on the eastern side and there is a small marsh with gobfins in the southern portion. Wild pals are in the 30s if I recall. You can also breed one instead if they are too high level for you. I got mine from hatching Verdant Eggs that I found while exploring.

to capture more often you need to flank. capturing from behind while the pal is distracted or has a stat effect nearly doubles your capture rate

#9 feels like a skill issue to me. Friends that play on my dedicated server were having issues catching higher level pals until I told them they can upgrade their "Catch power" at the Statue of Power with Lifmunk effigies. There are close to 400 of them on the map and multiple players can grab the same one. I'm level 7 catching power currently and caught Jetragon with an Ultra Sphere. I'm level 50 and have over 100 hours in the game, higher level pals were never an issue to catch for me once I got better spheres. I still can't even make legendary spheres and have every Alpha Pal that has a set point in the map other than Necromus and Paladius.

So for moving supplies between bases, as long as yoy have palboxs placed you can fast travel to the bases from the palbox. So stock up then fast travel from your current bases palbox to the new bases palbox, unload and repeat.

For #2, don't use gates. Just have your fence wall and leave an opening that's about wide enough for a Mammorest to get through it. Then, put an alarm by it. When you're raided, the raiders will go through that gap and trip the alarm and your pals at the base will obliterate them.

As far as I know the alarm can be anywhere in the base, when a raid starts, your pals go in defense mode, without the alarm bell they dont. I may be wrong though

For #5, I hope they fix the Pal AI with a structure where you can assign the pals to particular tasks. But for now, the answer is to build three bases and make them specialized bases. You have your production base, breeding base, and mining base. You just can't have a do-it-all base sadly.

happens to me most of the times fail 90%+ catch rate, once I failed 6 times in a row to catch a level 17 pal using the red ball, this happens pretty often but not gonna lie, sometimes things work nice and I catch level 40s with a few pink balls. When you die in an extreme region, have a spare set of heat and cold protection gear and travel with a flyer, you'll be able to hover above the bag and pick it up. Can't believe people are exploring on foot lol I don't have the logging or stone pits, removes a distraction and I'm faster at doing it anyway. As for crafting, once you get pets with high crafting skills they get things done reasonably fast. Everything else I can basically agree on I have my bottom floor separated from the upper floors, no staircase going up. I found a safe spot where raids don't get to me and just stuck at the bottom of a cliff, so fire isn't a problem, plus I like the stone look. I buy the fluids, and there are some waypoints that are right next to sulfur and coal spots. And I built my base right next to an ore jackpot, and they respawn quick (I messed with the resource spawn rate) so I don't ever have far to travel

I would say there is a shortcut for ores and palfluids you just haven't found them yet. There is a lot of places where you can make a base specifically for ore mining which fully automates the process. The tier of mining doesnt only make it faster it also lets them break stronger things so you want tier two pals at that base so they will just focus on the ores. And for pal fluids the area around were the Warsect boss is has loads of water type pals, granted they're a little strong so if you're newer you probably can't farm them that efficiently but you can get hundreds very quickly.

There are problems with the game, that's to be expected in early access, but most of the things on this list can be solved by understanding the game better. Don't like the mid-end game grind? yeah me either, turn up your drop settings and the problem goes away. You wanna talk about actual problems with the game there are plenty to discuss but most of this video was an information issue, not a game issue. TLDR, yes it was a bad video, a rare miss from gameranx, they should have done more research into these problems before making a video blaming the game, and it's ok to criticize a person, channel, company, etc. that you like.

The biggest issue with fire right now is the burn rate and spread rate of the fire is WAY WAY WAY *WAY* too quick. It's faster to destroy and replace a wall that caught on fire than it is to put it out. Safer too. If it spread like, x10 slower and did 0.01% of damage per second that it currently does, it'd be ALOT more reasonable.

Yeah, the path finding is my biggest complaint. So many times They get stuck up a tree, down a cliff, and if I try to baby proof it they still get stuck and throught a fit. Some tips: put the triangle pieces down before the stairs. The stairs seem to be able to clip through most things but they have to be placed last. Also; you can solve a lot of you pals pathing problems but watching their route and seeing what they're stuck on. It's annoying but you can pretty easily deduce their path if you just watch. 3rd: I haven't seen anyone mention this but you can stack viewing cages.

for your #1, I want to point out that if you build your base on resource deposits, your pals at the base will mine them, and they respawn in the same spot every 5-10 minutes. This is also the main reason to limit to 3 bases because auto resource farming is OP. The only hard materials to get are drops from pals, but when you can make 1000 balls a session from auto-farming, you tend to get enough of everything quite easily.

So, about ore grinding specifically: there is one thing you can do, and should do. There are a few spots on the map where there are a bunch of ore nodes (and sometimes coal nodes) all super close together. Build a base there with a few beds and a food farm, then dedicate everything else to mining that stuff. Pals will mine it automatically if it's in the base. I've got a good spot with like, 8 or 9 ore nodes and always have at least 200 ore on hand now

For number 3 there's already a really solid method for mining ore, you just look for an area where there's alot of ore deposits and set up a 2nd base there then u just get urself some digitoise and some handiwork guys and you'll have so much ore and if you wanna speed up the process cus u running low u can craft a digitoise saddle which activates its ability to mine faster and damn it gets u a hundred ore in like a minute or two just an FYI for you gameranx and anyone struggling with ore

Pals like space soo if you want everything in a building build every floor/ room 2 walls high this way certain pals can move easily through the floors and stairs are a pain you might to replace some of them and place them back for a pal to recognize there's stairs there plus have 2 walled rooms means less glitching errors with pals... its still a pain sometimes but it works and makes things smoother... also having a second base to move stuff makes transferring items quicker and less of a journey AND finally having a 2nd base near ore deposits is a must makes getting ore less of a grind

pro tip if you build a base near an area where alot of ore spawns then your pals will mine those ore nodes for you and bring the ore to your storage boxes. its the easiest way to get ore by far but limited by the number of bases you can have and the fact that the ore nodes need to be within your bases border for your pals to mine them which significantly reduces the build area for that specific base.

Base moving: You likely aren't moving until you are able to build a 2nd base. Make a large chest near the pal box of the base you're leaving. Deconstruct anything with materials worth anything and put it in said box. Teleport to a base you want to keep and drop the stuff there. Much better than running over encumbered to the new base location that's just insane Mining resources: Ore there are lots of pals with mining level 2, they will mine ore automatically. Build a base near some ore nodes and populate it with a couple minors and lots of transporters and a chest or 2. Obviously the usual amenities too. Food, beds, maybe a hot spring or 2. Your call on making it a full base or just a mining base. Same thing with coal but that's mining level 3. Any level transportation is fine. Setup the base, go do some exploring, come back and that chest you setup will have a bunch of ore waiting for you to take back to your main manufacturing/smelting base.

How the Pal spheres catch rate works. Is the original number before throwing the ball is a total chance of capturing. Then the first number that shows after hitting it is your first roll. Which is higher then the total chance. It rolls if it hits it goes to the second roll which is much higher and if that hits you catch it. Let's say you were to flip a coin twice. Your chance of getting heads twice it's 25%, even though each coin toss is a 50% chance heads or tails. Very similar thing here. Where for the total chance before throwing is just your chance of hitting both rolls and sometimes you get unlucky. Just with Pal Spheres it gives you the lower chance first and if that hits you are more likely to hit the second roll. You don't have to go into the game files to figure this out as it is pretty clear. Still most people who don't use a bit of logical reasoning are just gonna think that the game is lying to them at first. It's really not that complicated. Also level and what Pal you are trying to catch plays into catch rate. A level 33 Pengullet is still easier to catch then a level 33 Mammorest, but is much harder to catch then a level 4 Pengullet.

For #9, you need to lower the health of the pals before your capture them. That one's obvious, but what's easy to forget is to upgrade your base capture rate at the statue with Lifimunk energy. you gotta prioritize upgrading your capture rate or else you'll sit there throwing 30 balls at a pal.

For ore, you can actually just find an area that has multiple ore nodes, and set a bunch of mining pals in there. Add a couple of transporting pals and a chest, and you have yourself an ore production base. I just recommend getting beds, springs, and a food supply chain in there as well to keep it fully automated. The only problem is that they won't mine very much while you're not present, so it's best to just periodically idle in that base. Go grab a drink, make lunch or something, leave your character afk in that base.

10 - throw a pal from your party with handiwork at whatever you're trying to craft. Walk away till it's done. They don't take breaks and don't lose san. Just pay attention to food once in a while. 9 - It's painful to watch you throw spheres at pals with full health. Beating them up goes a long way to make capturing easier. 8 - Make your new base FIRST, put a box next to the palbox. Destruct the old base first (putting everything in a box nearby the old base palbox). When done, grab everything, use the grapple gun to get to the palbox, teleport to the new base, drop stuff off, THEN destroy the old base. Makes it 99 percent easier. 7 - custom difficulty exists for this reason and has options for this. 6 - I....didn't have an issue with this? I had 3 bases with each covering a few needed actions or resource collection. I managed to cover everything with 3 bases. 5 - Yes, the pathfinding needs a tweek. That being said, putting them back into the palbox and bringing them back out instantly does fix things right now. 4 - eh.... 3 - it works, you have to put the triangle wall down first. Also, stairs work better when you work from top to bottom.

Building want you to specify what wall you want your piece to attach to. Pointing at the wall helps Exponentially. Most folks said it but yea, Dedicate one of your three bases to being an Ore mine. There are plenty of minig spots with lots of ore veins and your pals (long as they are appropriate) will steadily farm for you during your adventures and managing your other bases. Make it sepf sustaining and just visit when you need ore, Grappling hook in hand of course. Can keep a stove there and a Jormuntide ignis to make ingots on the spot holding more for less weight but either way, Yer grapplin

for Ore, you can use one of your bases and build it in a mining location and just mainly build it as a mining outpost with only the bare minimum for what you need to make it self sufficient. The only issue is unless you are sitting there in the base 24/7 you don't get much ore. The main issues I've experienced is raiding. If one of your guild members levels up the palbox way too quickly you can get easily into a scenario where you have lvl 30+ raiders while only being level 10 yourself. There should be a warning when leveling up the palbox saying that the raids will be harder or at X level.

There is clusters of ore in some spots on the map that you can build your bases next to and your pals will mine then which is super helpful because you'll end up getting hundreds of ingots. I've just been playing the game for like a week on the basic normal difficulty and it's been great so far. Bonus info is that if you ever fall through the map just return to the main menu and go back to your game it'll put you back on the solid ground. I've fallen through the map many times and thought I was going to lose all my gear lol.

One thing that bothers me is that for a game that's focused on automation, you only get one level of automation. For example, if you want to automate bread, you can't. You can automate making wheat, and that's it. You have to manually put the wheat in the mill to make flour, you have to manually take the flour out of the mill, and you have to manually queue up bread. The good news is this is a super simple fix. Let pals take items out of crafting stations, add an "infinite" crafting option that adds more to the queue as more raw materials become available and presto! High-level automation.

For #1, it's important to have at least one base that has a cluster of ore right by it. Those ore respawn every day. So you have some mining pals that get that stuff and drop it in a box for you. Bit annoying to set up, but it works once it's set up.

Find a spot with a lot of ore in one spot, set a pal box, beds, hot tub, couple berry farms with appropriate pals to run them, couple transporters then fill the other slots with digtoise. For ore, coal and quartz (not sure about sulfur but that probably too) you can build a base next to a large deposit and dispatch mining pals to farm it. It’s probably the most efficient method available right now. Also wish that not just making but acquiring made materials could be automated a bit more. Forager did this in a really great way through the technology tree and structures, that game had much more streamlined crafting and progression systems. Probably what quite a few ideas need in Palworld: streamlining.

I knew I was going to need ore after looking ahead at the tech chart. So once I found the "ore farm" with about 9 ore stones, I decided to just set a camp there specifically just for that. The pals don't mine the ore fast enough for me to worry about there being no rocks but when I'm desperate, I just go over there and assist it along. Found my coal and sulfur spots as well. Thankfully those are near warp points so I don't need a camp. Just do it myself for now. Yes there are many things to improve upon but overall, this is a no sleep game just because it's that much fun. Not because I have to in order to keep up.

But it's mostly a problem because of how buggy the game is, as you mentioned, but also because the balance of how many of things you need to craft and how long it takes. :-/) , 5: Yeah, freaking annoying, in fights they often like to get caught on things, or attack trees instead of foes. hehe. And I'd argue that the micromanagement required to get the pals to work for you get to the point of not being fun. :-P And yes, number one, starting to not want to play already because it's so grindy. Takes too many ingots, and they weigh a crap load, so I can only get what, 45 bars per outing. Makes me miss using dinos to carry things in Ark.

Missed a few ones that are more important than most of these: 1) No way to tell what you haven't caught, without pulling out your "Pal Dex". 2) Armor breaks all of the time. 3) No auto-run. Have to make a macro for these last 1. The AI was the only other thing that bothered me. I didn't notice most of the ones mentioned here. Fire isn't that bad, just make sure to make fire lines or use stone or, if you do get a fire, deconstruct to make a fire line, to keep it from spreading, while you then deconstruct everything that is on fire.

I built a prison for my pals. Three stories and three walls high for each story. They go everywhere in the base with no issue. Plus i can fit literally everything in it. I have noticed certain pals bug out while working. Others dont miss a beat. I dont know falcon, i usually enjoy your videos. But this one seemed like there wasn't much effort put into it. This thing is in early release, we all knew prior it was going to have some kinks worked out. The thing i agree with is saying we should be able to hit a button and it starts crafting instead of baving to hold it.
