@dittmar104 you can ride a rushboar, too. Utility like that counts when you can get a level 3 miner, which you'll need for Coal anyway. Mounted Pals have better-controlled combat, and starting pals can be leveled to be competent through midgame. (ie, Shockwave for Pal Fluids) I agree with you, but not for a nuzlocke run.

I'm confused on why you caught and used the second Rushoar. The rules said dead Pals needed to be butchered, which you were doing with the others, (mostly with the first one) but then you caught and used a Rushoar from another area, despite a "no duplicates" rule. In your run, what does the "no duplicates" rule entail? I can't think of a different scenario where that would be relevant, even with Palworld. Maybe I'm confused or missed something. I think the rules could've been a bit more specific or clear, since Palworld isn't built the same as Pokemon. Do Pals that are essentially duplicates used for EXP (the numbered names) get used for purely base work? Which ones are allowed for base work and non-combat activities. That was a major grey area in this run, it felt like. There wasn't a super clear answer, that I could pinpoint, anyway. Overall, it was a fun Nuzlocke to watch for this game. I'm not trying to hate on it or anything. I enjoyed the video. It just felt like things were murky and some rules weren't followed well, which is the pinnacle of running Nuzlockes.

He also caught the cativa in the exact same area as deadream. His game knowledge doesn’t seem super extensive either given how he prioritised rushoar so much, got both cativa and daedreams work suitabilities wrong, thought daedream would get exp while in the base and he passed up an early game tombat. He having fun tho so that good

Im 11 minutes in and i feel like the best part of a nuzlocke is the randomness. It feels like you are picking and choosing which pokemon to catch instead of having to catch the first one you encounter in an area. Feels like a hardcore run more than a nuzlocke.

Aside from the rushoar dupe, I feel like the whole nuzzlocke bonding is lost when catching multiples to enhance your pal. Not much of a bond, if you have 11 of the same and just kill 10 of them to strengthen one. Would have preferred one per location, period. Or better, make it one of each kind, that way you have extra choices for your boss fights, to choose better matches, but at the same time you can’t overpower them by sacrificing dupes. I believe that will make for a decent challenge, might increase casualties and will provide ample opportunity for different team building etc, and you’ll still have the necessary pals for your bases to make it in time for 100 days

I'm doing my own nuzlocke rn, and what I've been doing to make the encounters random is when I get to a fast travel location, I quit out to the title screen so that the pals location randomizes and then I'm only allowed to catch the first one I see

This feels like a hardcore run since you chose the pals, things that can help it be more random like is: Having a pal on agressive and whichever one it attacks first, u have to get First one you seen, u get Reload the game and whichever one you see first, u get (Idk if this works)
