I set up a base that so happened to be next to where humans keep a pal captive. Not sure how often it resets, but if you kill the humans you can release the pal and it will join you.

I'd like to add that I've also found these sites without any Syndicate thugs. I theorize that the Pals reset faster than the thugs do, so you can get lucky enough to not have to fight them at all.

Wild pals attack the enemy syndicate people and you don't have to kill them, you can sneak in and open the cage too!

Normally when I click on a "basics" video and the person is doing the more "stream of consciousness" style like this, as opposed to a methodical approach, I'm immediately skipping to the next one. You manage to strike that perfect balance where you're never wasting any time but explain everything adequately. I played this game for like five minutes when it came out and got frustrated but I'm giving it another shot now thanks to your vid!

Find the village theres both a pal merchant and a regular merchant after catching pals for xp sell the ones you dont need you can also farm the the buy pals. It resets pals on fast travel

With the bat when you use it the pals nearby appear on the huddle at the top of the screen so you can see what direction pals are and what pal they are.

another tip about Elkthyrdeer is that the antler uppercut makes you move VERY VERY quickly. if you want to move fast on the ground, then that is the mount you want and you use that ability to travel. there's also a boar that makes mining ore WAY faster but you need to have the saddle to do it. i would assume it's any mining pal that you you can control in some way (either mounting or using their ability) (i personally haven't found anything else that can do the boars job just yet though). anyway any of the skills you use on that pet will do huge damage to stone/ore. if you feel like you never have enough paldium fragments then go find a dungeon (cave).

So i just started playing today and set a palbox next to a mountain. Whenever i would fast travel to my base it would glitch me into the mountain, and the first time i even found a hidden treasure chest

Weight is pretty useful early on. Same with stamina. Ive only been playing a couple hrs so i could be wrong

For now you can only play with friends on the same build ( steam vs Xbox/game pass) if that doesn't matter to you I think steams build is a version above the other one.

Its really just preference. If ur on pc and have friends on xbox its a must to get the microsft version or else u wont be able to play with them. Otherwise u can get the steam version
