Dark Whisp can be passed down from Nitemary or Splatterina as well. It's a good skill worthy to be on top.

Meteorain from jetragon seems strongest of the new skills, and there's a grass type version of air blade from ribunny botan. Still have to test others.

that one is probably gonna take quite a while, since it's such a massive wrench in the works for determining best base pals. as it stands, you probably just want pals that are partially dark type and maybe on the smaller side so they don't get stuck as much (looking at you jorm), otherwise it's a bit of a cyoa. there's some exceptions or special cases with various critters with useful passives that can now be brought up to lv5 work ability, so taking all that into account, a deep dive into the particulars is gonna be a lot of work.

Oh so that's how it works, i have a gigantic orchardbase now and I planted all kinda skill fruits not knowing it's "element" based the offchances for the "new" fruits. That said if it wasn't for thesetwo new fruits orchards are tbh honestly super awful given how slow they are, I think i'm going back to having "skull fruit bases", I was remaking ym megabase to have extra bses in render distance to spam expeditions but I think fruits are more important. Prof, have you managed by chance to figure out a way yet to farm efficiently the work suitability books yet? I long for benching astegons and so many other insanely huge pals I just can't figure out how to farm these books, people suggest the drops off dungeons/supply drops are currently dropped (db says they should drop off those sources but they do not). Another thing we need to recheck is IF these books become a thing, what are the new best pals for base jobs, I'm particularly interested in know if mimog's the new best transporter (with books ofc) given it's small, and from what I know insanely fast, I jsut don't know how fast he is.

Well well it's not just demon god that's relevant later like others mentioned, Noone has yet tested "vampiric" ar least of what I've seen. I don't think that a elizabee, max IV, in a party with 4 beegarded (or 3 beegardes with 2 elizabees, in theory more total stats on elizabees combined, to switch between), cab even die at all anymore. Also a holy burst on a partnerskill on knocklem, that's basicly a max party elizabee but permanent. Hard-core towerbosses won't like that

I only planted 1 fruit in each orchard, and when my transport pals remove the resulting fruits, the tree disappears and I have to manually plant again. When you plant 17, does it just consume 1 fruit with each growing cycle automatically, so you don't have to manually replant?

Yes, putting more fruits and turning on transport lets the tree regrow once collected.

He does mention flame funnel which normally comes from breeding the fire cat witch. There also might be the new grass skill as well.

You should be able to remove the skill from the Pal's info tab similar to how you swap them.

Hi Pal Prof! I have a base of (pre-update) maxed out Selynes. Do you think they’re worth maxing out to the new limit vs Xenolord? I was also thinking of breeding and maxing out Bastigor since he def has type advantage.

I think Selyne will get one shot by the dragon skills. Bastigor is good vs regular Xenolord, but ultra has fire attacks.

The dark whisp skill might be another rare fruit like the holy burst one, but I say breeding is the best option until we get confirmation the fruit exists.
