What a complex monster, so many systems and subsystems. I wonder how frequent maintenance is required on the various systems and how long they take. I remember seeing a D-Mag on TV, truly an engineering marvel. Great narration but I could watch an hour or 2 explaining all the various components.

Great video, used to run a PC3000 that was barge mounted, also engineer/mechanic on the same rig off and on for several years. Now retired from the trade I don’t hate the sight of them as much. Great video

Another awesome documentary Justin! Is there anyway we can get a video about mine site tour? Something that tells us the method of operations. There has to be a lot more to it than just start digging here... Extremely curious how they come up with a mining plan.

I'm guessing one of the mechanics labeled each circuit to help with diagnostics. Good thinking on them for that.

Great as always! I actually built the Leibherr version of this pit shovel. It is from the Lego technic line. Over 4000 pieces. It took me six months to build and is fully functional from the technic app. Keep up the awesome work, Justin!

It’s not a Lima 2400, but great stuff all the same! I got to spend a little time yesterday with the owner/ operator of the last 2400 in operation here in NW Pa. It will be retired this coming week. It was both a happy and sad experience for Me.

Those were good machines in the day. I still prefer the Manitowoc over the Lima though as far as ergonomics and comfort are concerned.

It certainly isn't deafening, unless your standing in the engine room lol.
