Excellent vid, love the Komatsu shovels, I'm looking at least 5-7 years before I can get on an O&K here with my company in the oilsands. When I'm getting loaded I notice that they seem almost too fast for there size, and I mean any video of the RH400 on KZbin does not do it justice. At aurora we run 9 electrics and 2 hydraulics.

@modernhumble Yes almost hydraulic excavators can be switched over to a backhoe. It's what you call the machines configuration- as a Backhoe or Shovel

excelent footage, mate! I wish I had the money to get on the training course! -First thing I would be doing with my lottery money if I won! Its a bit quicker than the rope shovel, only load about half as much but some companys are going for the bigger faster option now!

I still think a excavator will out dig a shovel, or are the shovel videos iv'e seen jus had slow operators, cos i aint been impressed by them. A R9800 excavator can load a 793 in 1 minute.
