Here's a somewhat erratic (as always) repot with me featuring some cool plants from Ecuagenera and The Rare Plant Shop / ‪@KayleeEllenOfficial‬ . I talk about propagating and repotting in the winter months, houseplant neglect, thrips, and show you my cheap "plant potty" set up.

I had a Lemon Line Maranta and it died on me probably because I didn't water it correctly and I will be getting another one because I love those. Since you brought it up, I do schlep all of my indoor plants to the sink in the kitchen or the tub in the bathroom to water. I generally water once a week in the spring and summer, maybe every 2 weeks in winter. Im confused as to how people water without doing that. Are you just watering less and more often so you don't make a huge mess from water over flow? Or do you water each plant in the bucket system?

Prior to the bucket, I would just kinda make two passes over a section in an afternoon, making sure everyone looks well soaked and mopping up so much spilled water and swearing and swearing 😂 not the best method. A lot of stuff in bigger pots don’t get the best soak they could but I have some deep plastic trays for a few of them so I can let them sit in some tray water for a little bit and Turkey baster the excess out.

I put off repotting so many of my 6 in plants because big planters are expensive. 😅 But I worked in the garden center at work a lot and got first dibs on all the nursery pots people would bring back to the store. They're not cute but they were free 😂
