Pamukkale Cotton Castle | Most Beautiful Place in Turkey?
Once an ancient city and now a tourist destination, Pamukkale is without a doubt one of Turkey's biggest attractions.
Pamukkale translates to cotton castle because of the white carbonate mineral left behind by the flowing thermal water. These thermal pools have been drawing visitors for thousands of years and we were eager to check it out!
We also visited Hierapolis, also know as the Holy City. This ancient Greek city is adjacent to the Pamukkale travertine terraces and also included in price of admission. Some of the city remains include baths, temple ruins, a monumental arch, a necropolis and a theatre.
