This was such an amazing find and beautiful scenery from the pools. Watching the streaming water when your walking along, it was crystal clear beauty. The Cleopatra pools look so fascinating. It's not dorky, this is a great new path that has further enhanced my lore for visiting Turkey.

Another mint video keeping me from actually working! 😅 I havent seen you mention you visiting Side in this series. It's so we'll preserved, a lot of the ruins are under glass walkways, allowing the city/town (not sure which) to thrive without damaging the history
@NearFromHome Жыл бұрын
We really want to go back, and explore more of the coast. We will definitely check it out! :D
@judyhayward4312 жыл бұрын
The travertine pools were great also Cleopatras pool was nice our hotel had there own hot springs, shame you missed the ruins of Hierapolis with the Necropolis, walk through the city ruins, Theatre, church to St Philip. So much more that the pools. Spent the whole day there in one of those so called rushed coach tours
@NearFromHome2 жыл бұрын
We loved it too. We did check out the ruins of Hierapolis, but didn't film it. :O It was very cool, but we just didn't‘t have time.

I hav an extra day at Antalya. Was thinking of driving down here. Dec. Any tips

We haven't been to Antayla, but really want to go. There are some really great ruins much closer to Antayla than Pamukkale I think.

Sorry, watching in the wrong order! But I just clicked on Camille‘s bottom before I saw the playlist. Seriously, how wonderful is this? Such a contrast to Istanbul, too. I don’t know why you‘re asking if you’re dorky? Because it’s a bit gimmicky? I love swimming so I‘d have grabbed the chance!
@NearFromHome2 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha that’s the idea 😅 I guess I was just surprised. Ive watched so many videos on Pamukkale, and none mentioned the Cleopatra pools.

Yes! We loved the Cleopatra pools. We went in February. Unfortunately, we didn't have too much time to see the ruins after the pools as we were staying Izmir. :(

which entrance would be quicker to enter the travertine’s?as i have 3 month old infant,want to swim as well in the pool,also do we have to climp up to the cleopetra pool?
@NearFromHome2 жыл бұрын
The main entrance is a little far from the Cleopatra pools, but they actually have golf carts on site to help get you around. The pool is also easily accessible by just a few stairs, so I imagine you'll be fine!
@Halexstrasza2 жыл бұрын
How deep is the pool? :o Do you think the start is too deep to walk on?
@NearFromHome2 жыл бұрын
Most of it is easily walkable, but there are some really deep parts too. I wouldn't be too worried though as you can easily avoid them.
