From the collection of our sister organization, the Pan Am Historical Foundation, this film was produced by Pan American World Airways documenting the many times Pan Am provided help and assistance throughout the world in the course of decades of flying.
Dating to 1979 when a gigantic airlift was organized to evacuate Americans and other westerners from out of Tehran, Iran. The film goes on to show Pan Am's historical activities in times of crisis, dating back fifty years to 1929 when Pan Am (then a small airline) helped evacuate people from South Florida.
