Imagine pulling up to a music contest, everyone's playing basic things. Guitars, violins, piano, etc etc. You come in with the pan flute and just... theres absolutely no way you can lose with a pan flute. Im ordering mine next week and im gonna be just like this guy

Just got my first beginner's pan flute today - 19 tubes, made of PVC, but sounds pretty nice. Interesting how really little amount of air is needed. Not a trumpet or even a recorder, just play softly.

Thank you, I've started to learn by myself, this video was really helpful. I have a question, I can't get the lowest note pipes to make much sound, but if I blow too hard I get a high pitched whistle instead of a low note. I've tried blowing soft and hard, I can't really get any resonance from them. The higher pitches are fine, but the low ones just sound like wind blowing through a tunnel, there's no "note" sound like you're getting. Is that something wrong with my instrument, or something I need to do to them first? Do they need to be treated in any way before playing?
@charlesfernandez12782 жыл бұрын
I have and still have the same problem as you my friend. No idea why I can´t get a sound from either ends. It´s true what he says though about placing the lips and blowing differently between the high and low notes. Took me ages to appreciate that detail as I was blowing the same manner for all, which is incorrect. Practice and patience will previal. Good luck. oh...people will be able to buy my album in 20 years time 🙂
