Found very few tutorials to learning pan flute in KZbin. Out in the few most end up promoting a pan flute or a online class.Thank you Stefan for your sincere efforts in teaching and promoting the beauty of pan flute music.

Thank you for your kind words 💛 And happy that you like my tutorials. 🙏🏼 ….well must say that I also promote a bit my music book 😅 but it’s not obligatory for these lessons and it’s something extra that students can have to learn progressively and to have music ”designed” for the pan flute. To sum up, i want to give my knowledge to people so that they have the oportunity to learn the pan flute as profound and ergonomically as it is possible in a video tutorial. ✨🎶✨

Thanks so much for putting up the lessons. I have been playing for about a year and a half without any proper training. I can't find any lessons online but very basic. I can find lessons for most instruments but not pan flute. I live here in the US and never heard or seen anyone playing here so I get a lot of people that ask about it here when I play outdoors. I play ok and play songs if I cheat and use a mirror to see the tubes I blow especially if there are big jumps. Wish I could learn how to ditch the mirror and memorize the tubes. Just found these lessons today and watched your first one. Excited to watch the rest thanks so much. You are very gifted. Thanks so much Dwayne

Hi! And thanks for your comment. Appreciate it a lot. I hope these lessons give you some anwers to your dilemmas. Mirror is a really good help! Then you might want to practice the jumps more... more of those are in lesson 4 & 4extra. You can exercise with me in those lessons. If tou have ideas / problems for solving in the future, just let me know, and hopefully manage solving them. 😀🎶

Playing musical instruments, and maybe especially the pan flute, brings peace into the world. When you used "imagine holding a gun in your hand" as an analogy for how to hold a pan flute, I shit the video off. There are too many guns in the world, in history. I'm sick of guns - as was Beethoven.

Great explanation, thank you 😊 Can you tell us if the tuning is 440 hz or 442 hz for a wood panflute?
@Panflute4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! Probably the most common tuning is A = 442Hz. I tune my pan flutes in 443Hz or even 444Hz because it's always easier with pan flute to lower down the tuning by tilting the flute, than going higher in the pitch. Good question for future lessons! Thank You! 👍

Do you have a link to where people can buy a Pan Flutes like that? What should people be looking for when selecting a Pan Flute? What's the easiest & most versatile scale to play?
@Panflute2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for the questions. My pan flute models can’t be bought because unfortunately the buolder has passed away. But there are some awesome builders around. Google for instance Ulitza pan flutes and Steffen Küttner. 😎 When selecting a pan flute you might prefer bamboo as a material. Rest is just by trying different pan flutes with different carvings etc. If you have a pan flute that is tuned in G-major, then that’s the easiest scale. Cheers!

Hi, where can i get the same pan flute with 22 pipes just as yours please? I like that model, thank you in advance
@Panflute Жыл бұрын
This model is no longer existing because the original builder Ion Cretu has passed away. My new exact same versions, or actually even better ones are from Taiwan made by dear friend Tsai Hsueh Jen. But at the moment these models are not for sale. Maybe in the future they will be available for all. 🤍🖤🤍

So do all pan flutes get lower in register to the right side of the instrument? That is so bizarre, it’s basically backward from any other instrument. The only other instrument I can think that does that is a left-handed guitar
@Panflute3 жыл бұрын
This (bass tubes on right side as I play) is the traditional way but for instance left handed people use the mirror version. And! Almost everybody in Asia have the bass tubes on the left side. So there is nowadays a lot of people using this ”mirror version”. ↔️🎶
@cabijista13 жыл бұрын
@@Panflute I see, thanks very much for the reply. I’ve been thinking of getting a pan flute cause I have always loved the sounds, but i come from a piano background and I could imagine having the notes run in the opposite direction could get really confusing. Maybe I should just start off with the mirror version though? Might be a stupid question but could you not just take a normal pan flute and flip it round so the lower notes are on the left, or do you have to buy a specialized mirror version?

How do I select the correct pan flute left handed or right???
@Panflute10 ай бұрын
Most people in ”west” use right handed. Most people in Asia use left handed. My opinion is that as violin makes vibrato with left hand, it is very logical to make the same way with pan flute, so then the right handed would be my choice (long tubes on the right side). If you are right handed, your right hand is presumably stronger. Then it’s easier to hold the pan flute. But these are mostly opinions and traditions. 😀🎶
