Good video Chelsea! Thanks for putting my CLEAN By Pan 8-year ceramic coating to the test. Seems like you had a good user experience with it. Well said about taking the time to learn how to use a coating when it’s your first time. It was funny when you were talking about the “diaper sound” when talking about the applicator. It’s the saver liner inside to prevent the coating from absorbing into the applicator. The coating stays on the surface so there’s less waste. :) Continue sharing your passion for detailing with the community, and I wish you continued success with your channel. 👍🏻

@@attention2detailswchelsea I re-watched the video of Pan doing the initial demo on Eddie's old white Tesla and it looks like you put on the a closer amount of drops (10-15) per PANel than I did (5-8ish). So I personally feel like your application was very on point with Pans. I'm going back to the launch demo video now and will be asking him for clarity going forward to potentially update the instructions in regards to the (after priming the pad) amount of drops per panel from a "few" to a more quantifiable number as you have listed (10-15). I was kind of on the fence as how much to reapply and close to 10 drops might have been a more accurate # in my situation (low temperature) and just over analyzing everything I was doing as I haven't done a ceramic coating in over 5 years! Also I believe your end assessment of going too many panels ahead was correct, I was doing half a door at a time, Pan did an entire door, and I think you might have went to 2 doors towards the end? I apologize if I'm misremembering things as I am just replying without re-watching the video. 👍👍

I was demonstrating if you did more than one panel that it would be difficult after doing that I just stuck to doing one panel or two sections at a time and no more for a more enjoyable experience

Hey Chelsea!! I am a newer weekend detailer “enthusiast.” 2 months ago I used Pans 8 year, polish and prep spray to do my first polish/coating ever. It was all relatively easy to use, and I’m sure I’ll do better next time. That said, When I started temps were ideal. Towards the end it was dark outside, mid 50s and humid. I literally let the coating sit on the panels for 8-10 minutes and then leveled. It still felt tacky but I didn’t want to let it go any longer and made sure I leveled/wiped really well. The slickness/water behavior awesome and seems to have worked great! Next time I will wait until I have better conditions and a pad washer, but it was then or next spring and I wasn’t patient enough 🤣

I did a customers white Wrangler about 3 weeks ago using Pan’s 8 year. I really couldn’t see the flashing, so I just followed the 2 minute instructions. That was perfect, leveling was normal, not grabbing and very slick. Seems like a great coating. Easily will get several vehicles out of it.

Thanks for a great video Chelsea! One of the best I’ve seen for showing ceramic coating rainbowing etc. Out of interest how did you find application between Pan’s 8 year and DIY’s 8 year? As a newbie I can’t decide which to get for my own vehicle and ease of application is high in my list of requirements 😂
@attention2detailswchelsea12 күн бұрын
Personally Pans was thicker but after applying was very similar in leveling to DIYs but two completely different formulas and I think will show differences in hydrophobics as well. I think DIYs was easier to apply and level but Pans hydrophobics look to be highly unique

They tell you eight year coating . But wait until you file a labor claim on it when it fails .it won’t happen.
@attention2detailswchelsea13 күн бұрын
Most don’t last due to improper maintenance and those claims are created in a lab environment as a gauge not a definitive expectation . I cut most coating claims in half with expectations because of those unknown variables of how the customers will maintain the vehicle and environment

Everyone and their freaking Mom is coming out with detailing products these days. It's just saturating the market. Anyone that believes a coating will last 8 yrs also probably believes unicorns exist🙄

Unicorns 🦄 do exist the coating was made up of their tears.

Your post is a total joke. If you take the time to do your research, you'll see why Pan says 8 years.Why don't you do that before you make ridiculous posts and make yourself look dumb.
@attention2detailswchelsea12 күн бұрын
I too don’t believe any coating can last beyond 3-4 years so only time will tell but even though the market is very saturated doesn’t mean companies aren’t innovating and coming out with ways to be more efficient or more durable with more ease so to me everything is worth trying at least once. Then I can decide for myself if it’s worth switching over from what I normally use
@chrissilvestri364212 күн бұрын
I'm just pointing out that Pan never said it last 8 years. The eight years on the bottle is just the recommendation of the scientists that are making the coating, based on what they're saying and their experience. Only time will tell how long it actually lasts. And all the other factors that go into it, as well as proper maintenance.
