Wonderful tribute for your Dad, bringing his memory, and watch !!! Panama looks beautiful and hot... I think someone was beginning to look like a lobster 🦞🥵😅

Thanks Wayne !!! Haha, ya it was hot … I was power tanning on the last couple days, as South America was a lot cooler and we for saw that coming. LOL. Panama was beautiful though. Glad we went there. Cheers

Thanks for the comment. Ya meant a lot to me to get him to his bucket list place. I’m sure he enjoyed it. One odd thing that gave me that feeling… the watch is a very old, manual winding watch. No batteries back then. Watch has been in a draw for almost 3 years. Watch hasn’t run for years … I didn’t wind it at all …. and when we were on the bus after the tour, I looked at the watch to put it away and it was running, the seconds arm was moving. Gave me chills. Thanks for you comment bud. Cheers

Thank you for watching !!! As for the Panamá canal tour, we loved it. It was a special day for me, a life long bucket list tour. It was cool to go from one ocean to the other in 10 hours, that being said with all the bus transfers it was a LONG day. Almost 14 hours in total You can do a half day tour that stops in the middle then back to Panamá City. We loved the country of Panamá and want to go back. Thanks again ! Cheers

The "Esplanada" is a causeway built out of the excavation material (mostly rocks) from the construction of the Panama Canal at the beginning of the 1900's. I was American engineering at its best...

@@SHHHMotoTravels the Panama Canal construction films in the Canal museum showed the flat trains that carried excavated rock debris from the Culebra cut out to being dumped into the sea building the Amador causeway to the islands by the entrance of the Canal. It was in itself an engineering marvel, trains being loaded nonstop on the digging site, moving the tracks to new location by lifting them and unloaded by a gigantic "snow plow" without stopping, all in a continuous nonstop process... all in the early 1906-09 period approximately. I will look for the film on KZbin to share with you. Also, something you did not mentioned on the Pensionado Visa is no-property taxes for the 1st 20 years on your home. There are other communities in the Highlands such as Boquete that expats like with the perfect climate year around, the coffee and farming regions of Panama. Thank you for creating the video, it's very enjoyable.

Hello Thanks for watching and commenting on our little video. Ya, we have already left Panama but what we want to do is take Spanish lessons and hope to come back in a couple years when we can most easily communicate with all the great local people we have met there. I know there is lots of English there but we want to respect the Panamanians and try to communicate in their home country language. Thanks !!
