What’s a great family friendly resort with beach access? I’ve read Reddit threads saying some of them aren’t clean as you expect.
@getfitwithchrys

I will say Panama City's City Center isn't really a beach town, but if you travel a bit further out I hear there are some really beautiful beaches. As for the resorts I can't really speak on those from a personal experience.

Female traveling there solo on a scouting trip to see if this could be a retirement destination. Sounds like it’s relatively safe and affordable. Have you experienced any overt racism?

@@getfitwithchrys You mean panhandlers???? You mean like the many you find here in Charlotte NC??? so what's your point??? Homeless and panhandlers are found everywhere. Have you been to Washington DC or NY city or LA (that's California), etc. etc. etc. ???? please

@@CharlieBrown0507 To answer your question, yes I’ve been to DC, and lots of other places in the states where there are people who need assistance. It’s sad that both in the states and abroad there are big differences in socioeconomic classes. In this video, i never assumed anyone was homeless. But to clarify, yes, there are homeless people here in Panama City, but I was actually referring to my personal experience staying in some places where there’s a stark difference in the luxury that places offer and the communities that they’re built in. Despite there being people in the community my Airbnbs were in who asked for food or money, I still never felt a sense of danger, but also understand that being mindful of my surroundings is important. Especially when some of my belongings could be viewed as valuable. I do encourage you to visit! There’s plenty of places to stay and lots of ways you can be involved in the community here in Panama City! It’s truly a beautiful place despite where anyone is socioeconomically.

@@getfitwithchrys I guess you haven't heard of Gentrification. There is a reason that area is called "El Casco Viejo" or "El Casco Antiguo". It is old. Years ago, many of us Panamanians wouldn't consider walking in that area. But the area has gone and is going thru a lot of renovation. There is still much more to renovate but some residents refuse to leave. I guess it is the same as here in SC where many new communities are going up. Drive out of the community and you see the old neighborhoods with its old houses that look very dilapidated even for US standards. And to your point about stark difference, go to NYC, talk about luxury in one block and the next being so run down, is the total opposite.

Best places to live in the city are, Costa Del este, Sana Maria, Albrook, Clayton, El cangrejo, Obarrio, Coco Del Mar and Gamboa, i do not recomend casco since its just a tourist place and party place.
