@MAC Young, you're welcome! You really can't go wrong with this lens and it's amazing since it's very portable and that's what I really love about it. You can just have it in your camera bag all the time. It's really great for different shooting scenarios. It's now my other go to lens to use for my GH6. Have fun with the lens once you get your hands on one! Thank you for watching the video and I appreciate you taking the time to comment! 🙏🏽 Cheers!

It’s perfect for small M43 cameras like my little EPM1. I find it sharp and the corners look very good as well. Very underrated.

are there any problems with olympus cams? for example the e-m5 m iii
@BernieHipos2 жыл бұрын
@Der Frankinger, I haven't used any Olympus cameras so I really don't know, but this lens is well built even though it's plastic. All I can say is that it works well with Lumix cameras and I don't see any reason why it won't work with the E-M5 since it's a micro four thirds camera as well. I appreciate you checking out the video and thanks for your question! 🙏🏽

@@BernieHipos ok thanks :) yeah I checked out the video before the question, that's why I'm so interested in buying this lense ^^ guess I'll just try it out

@Der Frankinger, no worries at all! It’s a great lens and so tiny but doesn’t suffer with image quality. 👌🏾 I highly recommend it and I hope you’ll enjoy using it.

Does the lens extend at all during focusing like the 20mm
@BernieHipos2 жыл бұрын
@Bhagwan Singh, thanks for your question. I don't know exactly what you mean. Were you talking about focus breathing or the 2x crop of the micro four thirds system? If the latter, it becomes 28mm in full frame equivalent. I hope I answered your question. Thanks for watching the video! 🙏🏽 Cheers!
@thatsreallyamoon2 жыл бұрын
@@BernieHipos oh no I mean when you change th focus, does any part of the lens physically come out? I didn't know the 20mm lens did this until someone explicitly said it.
@BernieHipos2 жыл бұрын
@@thatsreallyamoon, oh gotcha! Thanks for clarifying! No it does not and it's a fixed lens as well. It's one of the reasons why I love this lens. It's small but doesn't sacrifice image quality. 😀👌🏾

@@BernieHipos thanks😄 yeah that extending part of the 20mm completely turned me off so good to know this one is self-contained

Can you Manual focus with this lens?
@BernieHipos3 жыл бұрын
@Patrick Bateman, yes you can but the focus ring is tiny and it’s hard (at least on my part) but it’s doable for sure. Instead, I just use the AF button in camera and it’s way easier for me. I appreciate you commenting and for watching the video! 🙏🏽

@@BernieHipos It's so NOT hard to focus manually for me. I have stubby little crappy fingers and it's super easy to focus. I'm using an older GF1, so I'm sure that's the difference.
@BernieHipos2 жыл бұрын
@@mattandrews8502, that’s great to know that you can easily do it with your lens. Yes for sure it can be done. Mine is a little bit stiff to turn so that’s why I no longer do it and it’s kind of sticky for some reason. Thanks for your comment and for stopping by the channel! 🙏🏾 Cheers!

@BernieHipos Жыл бұрын
@michaelv1984, wow I didn't know that. You're correct and on B&H it went up in price too. Maybe because it's getting more and more popular? It's really an underrated lens when we're talking about its sharpness and I love the fact that it's small. Totally worth it in my opinion. it has almost no bokeh, like all Lumix lenses... what a crappy system, the micro 4/3... better go with your Iphone...
@BernieHipos2 жыл бұрын
@lboymusic, to each their own. It's not about the bokeh all the time. It doesn't matter whatever tools you use. It's about how you want your message to be received. Also what matters most is that the iPhone is working for you (if you have it or if you're using it at the moment). I have both but I chose to use my micro four thirds cameras since they fit my workflow very well. Good for you if the iPhone is working for you and at the end of the day that's all that matters. I appreciate your comment and thanks for watching the video! 🙏🏽Cheers!

@@BernieHipos I want Bokeh. And I realize there is no Cheap wide lens with acceptable Shallow Depth of Field for Micro 4/3, and Im note even talking about Auto-focus. The only lens is the Lumix 15mm f1.4, that is ridiculously pricy... and it is f2.0 in APSC
@BernieHipos2 жыл бұрын
@@lboymusic, yes I hear you. 👌🏾👍🏾 Bokeh sometimes are necessary for some shots and I totally get that. It’s also about how far you are from the subject when filming to achieve that shallow depth of field. Also, have you looked at the Olympus PRO 12-40mm f/2.8 lens? It’s a bit pricey too but worth it in my opinion since it’s a constant f/2.8 aperture and well built. That’s what I have and my workhorse lens. I really hope that you’ll find the best lens for your needs that won’t break the bank and would still achieve bokeh look that you want. Good luck!

You wan‘t get nice bokeh in wide angle for cheap on any system.
@lboymusic2 жыл бұрын
@@matthiasbruns8570 not true. You can get a 16mm for APSc cameras with much superior AF... and a much more pleasent bokeh....
