Very useful, informative video. Thanks Graham. Had trouble hearing it on full volume though!

Again, such a helpful clear video. Even though I've been taking photographs for years, I still feel as though I've learned a lot from watching this. Thanks!

Thank you for this latest tutorial, it's been a useful reminder of how backgrounds can fool the cameras meter in the semi auto/ program modes.

Great video Graham. Have you done a video on how to shoot in raw and edit in camera? I think you mentioned it in a recent video but can't find it. Cheers

Don't know about yours, but my fz300 with its tiny sensor produces such an insane dynamic range as if it is a micro 4/3 sensor, the fz1000 i used to have did not produce such a dynamic range with its 1 inch sensor.

🙏 l like it & looking to Sony RX10 iv and panasonic lumix FZ 1000 MK II please suggest me which is best.❤️

The Sony has the longer reach at 600mm EFL if this is important to you however it is twice the price of the Panasonic and may not give that much better IQ.

@@GrahamHoughton12 There's been a lot of talk about Panasonic exiting the camera market and a recent video from Tony Northrup continues this theme. Panasonic hasn't released a new bridge camera for about 3 years now and only one m43 body. Maybe all development is going to the L mount systems. I find the bridge and m43 cameras more to my liking due to size and weight and all more likely to be taken out with me when I go exploring the countryside.

All pictures shot with the 1000 mark 2 ? Looks really great. Do you print?
@GrahamHoughton124 жыл бұрын
Yes all the images are shot with the FZ10002 and out of camera jpeg. No I don't print these days but the images are sufficiently sharp to enable larger sized prints.

I've noticed when recording video with my FZ300 in moderately low light situations, I very often get weird distortions that cause the subject to appear transparent with trailing while there's any movement of the camera or the subject. I know this camera isn't a low-light beast, but I'd like to be able to record some things inside with only lamp lighting or other low-light scenarios without the image being unusable. This problem is significantly worse at 4K resolution than at 1080p. 1080p/60fps seems to give the best image for me in low light. I've also noticed that the problem isn't as bad in the automatic exposure mode but I can't find a proper aperture/shutter speed/ISO combination in manual mode. Any recommendations for video settings in low light with the FZ300? I can get the exposure and image on the preview screen just how I would like it, then the image falls apart as soon as I hit record. Thanks

The streak will be due to slow shutter speed and in manual mode you do need to keep the shutter speed to the frame rate, at the minimum, but it is still better to use 2x frame rate. It is a balance between using a high ISO and large aperture (F2.8) and image noise. In low light this camera will give significant image noise unfortunately.

Hello fine video but as for Marcus Nixon the sound is terrible for me too : only one channel (left) when listening with headphone instead of stereo

Graham, the sound is terrible on this video, I can hardly hear you.

Recorded with the iPhone 11 pro with external lav mic but it looked the same volume on the edit time line but I will boost in future videos shot in this way.
