Awesome! If possible, test it with both tele converters using High res mode, just to see if there is any significant reduction in quality. I understand it's not a lens made for high res per say but it would be a nice way to see how much it can resolve. Also, a straight up comparison with the F4 regarding picture quality, not everybody has the need for F2.8 if the quality of the smaller cheaper lens is good. /Rasmus

I would like you to test the blackout, not specific for this lens but do you get blackout in the evf or rear screen mainly when shooting fast in single shot, can either of locked the focus using the af-on button then firing quick succession with the shutter release or even in manual focus when trying to capture an expressive moment but not in a drive mode just using single shot but shooting as fast as the shutter allows you to take shot after shot. cheers in advance from the UK

Thanks for this. A comparison of the two zooms at their extremes would be very helpful. I’m thinking of moving to the 24-70 and the 70-200 to replace my 24-105 as it is relatively soft at the longer end. A comparison of the long end of the 24-70 and the short end of the 70-200 would be a big plus if you could manage it.

On the motorbike video and maybe stills please Darryl, big ask I know!! I have this exact same system S1R & Pano 70-200 2.8, under utilised by comparison to yours by a long way, however, checking out the combined lens and body stabilisation shooting as pillion is impressive enough but it's got to be the test of tests for this system's combined IBIS and OIS, video and stills would be good but I'm probably asking too much!! I use my setup for portraiture and landscape, the system is simply amazing for these two genres and as a motorcycle fan myself I use it at the occasional Superbike race here in the UK, the fast 2.8 at high shutter on AFC works a treat in the vast majority of compositions / movement angles at track sidebut vantage points are not the best for us punters, understandably. Seen some of your wok btw, very impressive.

@DanLee5 жыл бұрын
@@DarrylCarey I have blog about it quite a bit here www.danmleephotography.com/blog/ however a) the top LCD on the E Mount cameras are missing, something I depend on with the Sony A-Mount. b) the dials and button lay out on the Lumix are close to the Sony A99II my previous camera so the learning curve and my muscle memory doesn't have to work too hard in changing. c) weather proofing d) size, I don't like small mirrorless cameras, why does mirrorless have to equal small ? No idea e) I hate the retro wheels for the EV, just give me a button and a wheel on my thumb and I'm all set. The back illuminated buttons on the Lumix are brilliant. f) the dual XQD and SD card slot are desirable to me as the read out seems super fast, I like that a lot g) the EVF layout made sense to me h) night mode. Oh my days I've wanted that forever in a camera. I've pre ordered the 70-200mm f2.8 and looking forward to it. I just sold off all my A-Mount gear, also invested in Nikon Z series too as some of the glass is epic. But for my travel and adventure work will be on the Lumix.
