Panasonic Lumix S1H Review

I literally just sold my Sony A7Siii and all Sony lenses to pick up this Lumix S1H, and I have the brand new 50mm f1.8 S arriving tomorrow. I’m going to make a video explaining why the Sony is not the “perfect camera” everyone claims it is, as I found far more things to not like about it after two months of use, then I did. This Lumix S1H (3 years later) is in my opinion a far superior cinematic machine, and is now under the price pointe of the Sony. Plus… with the newest firmware update the autofocus of my S1H is truly brilliant, and actually comparable to the A7Siii… seriously!!! And… it’s Netflix approved, with cinema 4K, etc… Great video, thanks soo much for sharing it! Cheers!

A beast of a camera, indeed. with latest firmware updates the AF has become much more reliable and accurate. One important HACK for the AF (and, many do not know about it) is: you need to re-confirm what to track by tipping with your finger on the subject on the flip screen. For some crazy reason, the AF software needs this re-confirmation although the indicator box show that the object / subject has already been detected. Of course, color science of this camera is superb, especially when capturing in V-log and working in the ACES colorspace in post.
