Blackmagic has internal raw and NDs if they make a camera with phase autofocus and ibis its a wrap. They already have the best image in the price range. One can only hope. Happy with my Sony A7iv and blackmagic 6k for now. Tempted to sell the sony for the S5IIx.

They would have to make a better form factor to call it a ''wrap''. I owned the BMPCC 6K (original) for 2 years and used it extensively. The most annoying things, apart from the lack of IBIS and C-Autofocus (which at least is expected in a ''cinema'' camera) is the big awkward size/shape and cheap plasticky body. I gave away internal BRAW for the original S5 (and i'm now waiting for my S5II X to arrive), and the only thing a truly miss from the BMD is the WB ''press & hold'' snapshot that is just EXACTLY how EVERY camera should have!!! PLEASE Panasonic, add this function to the already present WB button + a shutter angle ONLY locking option... and THAT'S a wrap! I do agree that BMD should close the gap in between mirrorless hybrid cameras and cinema camera by introducing IBIS and PDAF in their ''pocket'' line or something similar. They HAVE to now.

@@davidmultimedia2024 I agree with you. The form factor feels weird thats why I only use it with a cage and a top handle and monitor. I don't even shoot BRAW internally I always shoot SSD. It would be dope if they make it much much smaller, made of metal with mounting points and maybe just big enough to keep the two xlrs so it would have to be a little boxier than the FX3 but with an ergonomic grip. Every time I think of selling my 6k I remember how the quality of it has allowed me to attract more clients and make a living. Its hard to part with especially since it is my favorite image out of any camera under 3K

@@jacksp8de Honestly.. as much as the image quality is superb.. the original S5 image quality is just as good, except in a compressed h264 format (which is still enough for most usage). I was also using it with a full Tilta cage setup (that i’m not even able to resell), SSD, monitor, and wireless follow focus.. it helped for sure, but this is a real PITA for run n gun filmmaking. This image won’t ever be as stable as a good IBIS, even at around 12-15 lbs. Plus, unless you are on a paid job where big flashy gear is expected.. i always looked like a douche flashing my big cock around.. it was really annoying and made people uncomfortable, so at the end, I didn’t even bother to bring my camera with me. With the S5II and II X, we are now at a point where we should all (well, most of us) forget about cinema cameras and simply embrace the most convenient camera system ever made.. plus we can easily make the image look pretty much like a true cinema camera at the end. I don’t care at all about the original color science of any camera I buy, since I’m personnally an Emotive Color (Alexa precise conversion for specific camera sensors) poweruser since the GH5 era, and have been using it with the BMPCC6K and S5 since the beginning.. so jumping from the BMD to the S5 was a breeze since the image end up looking IDENTICAL (and i’m not kidding.. identical.. I thought i was still looking at my BMD footage). So i always use Emotive Color as the base input, then I have access to all excellent tools made for the Alexa, and it works flawlessly! It opens up a whole new world with unbelievably matching cameras. And no, it doesn’t limit you in any way… Even with the 150 mbps h.264 internal codec of the S5, I can further push the look like a mofo and it still holds up impressively well. The look i get using that in conjunction with Juan Melara’s FilmUnlimited powergrades and Dehancer for grain and bloom… this is absolutely ridiculous. Of course, BRAW has its advantages that i sometimes miss.. but it’s not worth losing IBIS, PDAF and the perfect form factor. Just custom WB all the time.. and you’re all good. I agree about internal NDs tho.. I would have paid "a lot" more to get that + the S1H OLPF.

Panasonic just need to add internal BRAW for the wrap 😉

@@mattbrown-mb I still prefer the image of the bmpcc6k so in this instance “it’s a wrap” means my search would be over for a while. I would be content. Until something else revolutionary comes along of course

Hey Arber, would you be able to upload the some raw all i footage from the s5iix? Like you did for the s5mark ii. It was unbelievable helpful for my purchase decisions. It was a bit awkward explaining to my wife why I had footage of a guy drinking coffee in his underwear but I was grateful you did it haha

Hello. Please let us know if Lumix S5IIX has PDAF in 1080p frame rates from 24 to 120 FPS.

Only up till 30fps. 1080p 60fps FF and anything above losses PDAF.
