Panasonic TV No Sound (Digital Optical) - How to FIX?

Just unplugging TV worked for me, thanks! I’d established the soundbar was probably OK by streaming to it via Bluetooth. I’d also lost sound from the SPDIF output which I have connected to the hi-fi, so it all pointed to the TV. Like Roy & Moss would say, “Have you tried turning it off and on again.” :)

Oh thank goodness you don't know how flustered I have been trying to figure this out and i seen your video and did the reset the default settings and now after seeing your video its works. It only worked on the ps3. Thank you thank you now my soundbar won't go to waste. I have a Panasonic Viera from 2010 and it works now

I have Panasonic TH - 43GX655DX, I bought Philips 5.1 speakers and TV doesn't have any audio jack connection liek white, red color so I used digital audio output I connected that to a optical converter but still I'm not receiving any sound, I couldn't find any audio setting change in TV?? Any idea

What kind of audio ports does your Philips 5.1 speakers have? A optical converter is not guaranteed to work with your TV, so it's best if you connect it directly. If your Speakers support Digital Optical, please use that. For the TV settings, go to the settings menu >> sound >> spdif mode >> PCM

@@Avantree I have checked hdmi but there is no arc written on it and there is only digital optical port to TV and my spears doesnt have digital optical port so I bought a optical convertor but still there's is audio audible.

@@saipraneeth3152 What kind of converter are you using? Is it HDMI to Optical? Also, did you change the settings on your Panasonic TV? For the TV settings, go to the settings menu >> sound >> spdif mode >> PCM

@@Avantree I'm using optical convertor like TV has digital optical cable so from there to speakers only have red, white audio jacks 🤷‍♂️ and yes I have changed the audio settings 😕

@@saipraneeth3152 In theory, your setup should work. I suspect that it is a problem with your converter, because those are not always guaranteed to work. Please try contacting Panasonic or Philips support to see if they can help you. If they are unable to help you, an alternative you can try is to use an HDMI Arc converter such as the HAX04: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZKtfqp-oJaGsKM

Hi, The sound works but for some reason the TV’s volume control is not working. The only way to change the volume is on the speaker system’s remote.

If you have a streaming device such as apple tv or google chromecast, remember to go into its audio settings and switch the HDMI output format to stereo or pcm.

Only a certain channel has very low sound on a Panasonic TV

Hey. Try going into your Panasonic TV's audio settings and change the Audio Output to PCM/Stereo.

If the HDMI port on your TV is labeled as "ARC", it should work with your sound bar. Non-ARC ports are input only.

1: Try the steps in this video. Go into settings acd change audio output format to "PCM" 2: Unplug the TV and plug it back in again 3: Check that the TV is not connected to any Bluetooth wireless devices.
