I work with minidvds as a regular part of my job and they are so fun, only downside is they get corrupted super easily from age/user error and it makes it harder to get files from them!

if you insert an sd card into the camera, and don’t insert a dvd, will it record videos / put the pitcures onto that sd card?

I have this camera as second vintage camera and no, videos can only be recorded on a mini dvd, on the SD just photos :(

Unfortunately I think this is the era of things where it's probably a component inside but it's really destructive taking them apart. If you've tried all the basics things then you'll likely have to seek out another one second hand

Hi, how videos recorded on disc could be transfered to PC?

I can only guess at either direct with a cable and software, or burn onto disk first and then rip the disk into the PC.

Hi, I can only go off what I say in the video which is 7.9V with the fit being 4x1.7 with a positive inner core. You should be able to search for something fitting that online. Hope that helps.

Hi Jefferson, thank you. I wish I could give you some help but I never tried using a USB to a computer. I can only suggest making sure you finalise your items first, and the usual thing for a USB, trying different cables and different USB ports.

hi there :) thanks for your video. I'm trying to find an external dvd player but i can't find one for mini dvds. Can you use a normal size player but inserting the mini dvd? And also, do I need some special software to see the videos in my computer (mac) or just with the dvd player its okay? thank youu

I'm afraid I can't guarantee a perfect answer. All I can say if the external dvd drive has the small recess for a mini dvd then it will work. Then as for reading I would guess it would read like any norm dvd, but that's just a guess!

I had success reading the mini dvd using a HP Pavillon laptop back in the day. I think it really depends on the laser’s headroom. Also be really careful when you put it in the spindle, as the springs of the spindle that hold the hole of the disk can break the dvd when you push it in or remove it as it will be harder to use compared to how you would put or remove a regular size disk, I broke a mini dvd that way about 10 years ago, lesson learned hahah
